It's being reported that the Metropolitan Police has launched a probe into Prince Andrew. Apparently an email has emerged from him asking his protection officer (Met employed, tax payer funded) to investigate Virginia Guiffre in order, allegedly, to dish some dirt on her.

He's certainly the Prince who just keeps on giving.

I wonder where Fergie will live as there has been no provision for her. If she still has debts how will she pay them off ? Quite a conundrum.

Jaxjacky Thu 30-Oct-25 20:22:30

Well done the King and Queen.

ViceVersa Thu 30-Oct-25 20:20:49

If we're throwing acronyms into the mix, I guess Andrew is well and truly discovering the meaning of FAFO... grin

Andrew or A…..e (which I am obviously too much of a lady to say in full)

Well I wasn't sure if it was one word or two.

But ladies don't use language like that of course.

Oh thanks.

It was just the second A which is open to interpretation.

😂😂😂

Prince was called TAFKAP when he adopted the symbol instead of a name (the artist formerly known as Prince), so Andrew is TAFKAPA.

Allira Thu 30-Oct-25 19:41:56

Well done Charles!

TAFKAPA Am I interpreting that correctly?
😁

Casdon Thu 30-Oct-25 19:38:38

TAFKAPA?

ViceVersa Thu 30-Oct-25 19:36:49

He could always take a leaf out of another Prince's book and just be known as a symbol...

Usedtobeblonde Thu 30-Oct-25 19:27:18

Formerly!!!!

Usedtobeblonde Thu 30-Oct-25 19:26:31

So now it will be Andrew formerly known as Prince ,formally known as Duke.
What a come down.

Casdon Thu 30-Oct-25 19:13:51

‘His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew.
His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation. These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.
Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.’
From the King.
Apparently he will be funded privately by the king to live in a house on the Sandringham Estate. That is decisive action.

Caleo Thu 30-Oct-25 13:24:55

Are there still Yorkie bars?

Maremia

Just to save you all the bother, I googled 'Sarah Fergusson books', and they seem to be mostly Barbara Cartland style historical romances.
The children's ones must have been further down the page.

Budgie the Helicopter series

Also made into a TV series.

Does she not publish as The Duchess of York

They seem to be either by Sarah, Duchess of York - or Sarah Ferguson, with The Duchess of York in smaller font, from what I can see. Obviously that will have to change now.

^And I would think publishers would run a mile.^

I think they already have.

Her latest children's book is due for release on 20 November. Still available for pre-order.

Anniebach Wed 29-Oct-25 11:00:56

Her ex husband has supported her with accommodation for years

eazybee Wed 29-Oct-25 10:58:46

Andrew is supposed to have asked/demanded Frogmore Cottage for himself, and Adelaide Cottage (formerly the Wales' house) for his ex-wife.

I doubt if Sarah Ferguson has any assets, just ever-increasing debts and the belief that someone, probably Andrew, will bail her out. I believe that was why he was in hock to Epstein, and all the business with Guiffre was set up as blackmail to ensure he didn't default.
Just my opinion.

Interesting but I wouldn’t expect my son in law to support me. It’s usually the ex husband…..

SF had a financial settlement on divorce. She has, begged and borrowed cash from dubious sources. She’s had paid tv work here and in the USA, she’s published children’s stories - all these imo based on her RF connections.

I wouldn’t expect my ex husband or sons in law to support me. I’d expect to be capable of supporting myself, cutting my cloth if need be.

In desperation, she could ask her daughters to help.
