It's being reported that the Metropolitan Police has launched a probe into Prince Andrew. Apparently an email has emerged from him asking his protection officer (Met employed, tax payer funded) to investigate Virginia Guiffre in order, allegedly, to dish some dirt on her.

He's certainly the Prince who just keeps on giving.

I can't not believe that I have read that the victims Andrew et al. should just forget about their sexual assault because it happened 24 years ago and also the serious insinuation that these trafficked victims were prostitutes.

Wow.

ronib, the thread on so called grooming gangs contains horrific details of the type of abuse girls then often seen as prostitutes we’re subjected to.
Yiu seem determined to undermine and sneer at the suggestion the sexual abuse, objectification and degrading treatment of vulnerable 17/year old Virginia G was criminal.
We have legal proof of a 14 year being exploited by Epstein.

And VG was not a prostitute, she was sexually abused and exoloited

Victims will probably never forget.

I cbb to engage with you any more ronib
I find your views, especially as you claim to be a mother and grandmother, quite bewildering.

Iam64 Fri 24-Oct-25 18:08:53

And demeaning to women girls and boys sexually exploited.

Wow.

Can you imagine -

"We've found the person who murdered your child"

"Have you? Never mind, it was 24 years ago, it doesn't matter now"

Virginia Giuffre is dead. Her pain is finally over. Her family presumably will continue to benefit from royalties from her book and PA’s payment.
I would like to see legislation passed to protect young women and also the men who pay for sex. And quite a few do. Surely some good could emerge? Proper regulation?

Great response from imariund and ferry.

When in a huge pit ronib .....

ronib Fri 24-Oct-25 18:22:04

So what do you want of Prince Andrew?

imaround Fri 24-Oct-25 18:34:13

Him to talk to the FBI and be prosecuted. Same as as everyone else who is on that list. Trump, Clinton, Musk, Prime Ministers. They should all be held accountable just like the rest of us would.

She died in part because of his abuse. But not before warning the rest of the world what a horrible person Andrew is, thank goodness.

Him not being a working royal and not using his titles is not a punishment for what he was involved in. He gets to still live his life while she is dead.

She is the victim here. Not the predator Andrew.

ronib Fri 24-Oct-25 18:36:02

How will that prevent young girls from being trafficked?

It’s called justice ronib. Punishment of the guilty is the best way of deterring others.

ronib Fri 24-Oct-25 18:45:16

No

ronib Fri 24-Oct-25 18:46:06

We need a licensed system of prostitution?

imaround Fri 24-Oct-25 18:48:22

It just keeps getting more gross.

SHE WASNT A PROSTITUTE.

ronib Fri 24-Oct-25 18:50:03

A trafficked sex worker? Okay. Argue about it but will that stop it happening again? How are you going to stop this?

ronib Fri 24-Oct-25 18:53:01

The Netherlands has a working licensed sex workers industry since 2000.

I can tell you how we won't stop it - it's with attitudes like yours.

Gross.

ronib Fri 24-Oct-25 19:03:34

Have a look at how the rest of the world regulates this….. quite eye opening.

imaround Fri 24-Oct-25 19:05:18

Please tell me. How does the UK regulate sex trafficking?

Strictly for over 18s only. Virginia Guiffre was 16 when she first worked for Epstein. Some girls were 14. They were children, you can’t dress that up.
