Laser eye surgery

I am booked in for laser eye surgery next week to treat glaucoma. Apparently it will create drainage holes. I’m really nervous about it and would love to hear from anyone who has had this treatment. Will my eye be painful afterwards? Will I be able to see ok straight away? Will I have to wear an eye patch?
I’ve booked a flu vaccination for later the same day and am back to work the next day. Do you think I’ll be able to function ok?

I had it done to both eyes Sept 2024. Painless. Takes about 20 m8nutes. Lots of drops to put in over a few days. I made s timetable so I didnt forget.
Didnt need a patch. Eyes were fine afterwards. Thr thought of it is worse than the actuality.

Pressures have come down and stayed down but I still need the Ganfort drops each day. Now am looking foreard to having the cataracts done. Well not looking forward to be honest!! You will be fine. I was and I am a wuss. There is a recent thread on the health forum about it.

Had mine done today and it just felt like a tickle in each eye. The 3 types of drops I have for a week now are timetabled on my smart phone to remind me. My eyes feel OK and no headaches. I would have it done again if needed. Cateracts next on the menu.
