Good morning from a dryish Bristol.
Good luck with the Hub, michael. I don’t think it’s difficult to install.
The baptism was charming, the children were beautifully behaved, which was lovely - no pre-schoolers tearing round the church playing catch during the service!
I went to chat with one of my neighbours straight after. She is one of the 3 or 4 of us keeping up the pressure on the management. She commented that the retired manager had finally vacated the premises, at least a fortnight after the “closing” date! She and another resident went with the area manager to view the empty house. Apparently, it was revolting, disgusting, sticky carpets, garden left to “rewild”, etc., etc. A huge amount of work is required to bring it back to a reasonable standard. What horrified her was the fact that anyone should live in such squalor.
I finished the baby quilt and shall take it to the lady this morning. I’m not sure whether to slip it into her shopping when we get back from Tesco or give it to her in person. I don’t want to see her disappointment if she hates it, with polite comments. On the other hand, she tends to go a bit OTT with compliments, which I find quite unnecessary. I thin’ about it.
The OAP film this afternoon is “operation mincemeat”, the recent version. I don’t think I’ll go.
Have a good day all, enjoy the malapropisms you hear, spoonerisms, etc. or good wordplay, silly, missed autocorrect!
