I had trouble a while back sending and receiving PM’s. The problem settled but then I sent a few PMs on GN which didn’t go.
Today I tried sending a few on my iPad and two of them came back with a X has chosen not to receive messages note.
Why didn’t it say that on my phone?

I’ve had exactly the same thing: perfectly fine on my phone, then suddenly on the iPad it tells me someone’s closed their PM door. I’m told it’s because the privacy setting is stored per device/browser – a bit of a Gransnet quirk. If you log out completely on the iPad (Settings > Log out), clear the safari cookies, then log back in, it usually sorts itself and shows the proper message straight away. Works for me every time!
