On line photo books, anyone produced one of these?

I've made several, a few as gifts, most as combined holiday diaries and photos. I usually use Mimeo and have been very happy with the results. It takes a little practice to learn how to use the system but I haven't found it difficult.

I can recommend Photobox. I’ve used them to make gifts from my photos- mugs, jigsaws and a small keepsake album.
The cost depends on the style and size of the album you’re making, and they have great online help if you need it.

I can’t vouch for dedicated photo album companies and how their services work but if these are ancestral photos then it would good to have some context about each person: dates, places, documents and important events in their lives, as well as other resources to look at.

Are you a member of Ancestry? You can develop a family tree there and add galleries of photos linking each picture to the profiles of everyone in it.

You can then invite multiple guests to view the tree. They just sign in as guest members at no cost.

The upside of this method is that, if you make the tree public, others will also see your photos. You may find other people contact you with stories and more pictures to expand your family’s story.

I recently made one for OH's birthday of a big holiday we had last year. I used Cewe which was very easy to use, and we we pleased with tbe result.

I used Bookemon based in America. The end result was wonderful. I was absolutely delighted with it. The shipping was quite reasonable too.

I think this is a great idea! I have used various companies in the past for holiday pics etc but recently just took my phone to Max Spielmann and they do it all for you- that is they supervise you doing it in store ( obviously not taking your phone!) and will help you when needed.

I just printed some off and bought a little photo album as a gift for my friend, in which I hand wrote the messages, and gave it as a birthday present and she was thrilled with it!

I find the on-line sites have become more complicated that they used to be so I will definately do this again.
