That’s good to hear neine hoping the upcoming operation goes as well as it possibly can
We’re just home from a quick trip out into town, I needed to return a couple of things I’d bought in the M&S Sale and as we’re away next week it would be too late when we get back. It’s been snowing here most of the morning, our little cul de sac is completely white but the main roads are ok.
Not long to go now with the knee brace Jax hopefully all will be straightforward from now on
Hope to see our Soop back in her kitchen soon, take care all x

A bit of good news. I telephoned the Consultants secretary on Tuesday just to see if there was any update and the Admissions team phoned later to say I am provisionally booked in on January 28th by which time all the data will have been processed by the special system ( I'm assuming it's some sort of computer program) and a report on how to best do the revision will be produced. Both Consultants will be operating on me. I'm nervous but hoping I can get back on track soon.

A tricky day for you Redcar 💐
I’m on knee brace off countdown, due bedtime Saturday, for anyone who permanently wears such an item my utter respect.
MrJ tidied away Christmas, earlier than usual, but it’s job done, I took a picture of the tree last night before the fireworks started, they kept me awake for hours.
It’s my son’s birthday tomorrow, I’ll treat us to Chinese, he’s out with friends on Saturday.
Some cold days ahead and wet stuff of all sorts for some, take care all of you.
A 👋 to soop who is expected back soon.

Thank you everyone for your support today. I love a cwtch neine, so comforting.
I went for a walk this morning, well wrapped up against the cold. I met one of my dog walking friends and we picked up some of the mess left by people letting off fireworks in the sports ground last night.
The local fireworks were very noisy and I was pleased I hadn’t gone to bed before midnight, I would certainly have been woken up by the noise outside.
I’ve had a quiet day, had long conversations with both my DDs, which was good. Did some washing and dried it, and put away some of the stuff I brought back from my late godmother’s bungalow.
I’m now watching a repeat of Pride and Prejudice, one of my favourites, especially the version with Colin Firth in it!

yiayia I hope your cold isn’t too troublesome and clears quickly.

Thinking especially of the fgts, dragonfly, jaxjacky and anyone else who is struggling at the moment.

Have a pleasant evening all!

FGT ❤️

Ladyleftfieldlover Wed 31-Dec-25 21:08:53

FGT2 there is always hope.

We took our granddaughter out for a final outing before her parents collected her. It was another Italian restaurant as she loves Italian food. I also cooked pasta yesterday!

She was here for four nights and five days. I am now exhausted! She is 9, but I feel we should be doing stuff most of the time.

OH and I are having a quiet night in. At midnight I’ll send a message to my three children, put my eye drops in and go to bed. The cats will be allowed on my bed tonight. Next door are having fireworks - she warned everyone via Facebook.

Happy New Year🍸🎈

Good evening, Soop and lovely Kitchen people!
It's great to type that again, wishing our dear Soop good success with her new tablet, the perfect gift.

I'm just popping in to wish everyone a good Hogmanay and a very happy, healthy and peaceful New Year, let's hope its a good one.

I've had lots of visits from family, caught up with friends. The Wee Boy and his Mummy and Daddy visited this afternoon, we had lentil soup and shortbread. DS3 and lovely girlfriend will come tomorrow for steak pie and trifle, traditional Scottish 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 New Year fare. I'll go to my sister's for the bells tonight, DH and I used to bring in the New Year quietly together after the boys had left home.

Wishing you a peaceful ( or partying!) Hogmanay and all the very best for 2026. TOYA

My DDs took me to my late godmother’s bungalow this morning to meet up with her other executor and his wife, as they wanted me to look at some things prior to disposing of them. I came home with quite a lot of stuff, including two photos of my godmother’s wedding which I’d never seen before. Two of the guests were my mum and my granny who died when I was 6!
We came home and had a lunch of M&S party foods! Very tasty.
I’ll visit my dementia friend and her DH this evening for a short while then come home and possibly stay up to see the New Year in.
Wishing everyone in the kitchen a very Happy and Healthy New Year.
