‘Evening All’

And we are HOME!
Got in about an hour ago. “Well” said Himself “I’ve jumped another hurdle”.

You have darling, you have and I’m so very grateful.

Thank you Christie’s.
And for those in here with religious faith, your prayers for us too. Thank you so much for thinking of us and including us in your prayers. We are blessed tonight that’s for sure. x

Hi kitchen pal, it’s been a cold and windy day here, I’ve been busy out and about all day. I enjoyed my classes at the gym and had coffee with the very friendly ladies there, then I did a bit of shopping in town We’ve still got parcels being delivered here, we’re not sorted for Christmas yet 😟 This weekend we’re off to visit DD1 and family in Cambridge so another busy time ahead. It’s DGSs 11th Birthday on Saturday so we’re having a family get together, looking forward to seeing everyone and joining in with the celebrations
Let’s hope improve for your DH soon Yia
Hoping everything is soon sorted out for your DGS Jax and support is provided as needed
Hoping Llfl is doing ok after her procedure today
Thinking of Soop and everyone in the quiet corner, take care all x

gillgran Wed 26-Nov-25 17:32:10

A very cold, but dry day here after a frosty start. Less cold forecast for the next few days.

Warm & caring thoughts for you all, xx

Grandmabatty Wed 26-Nov-25 17:12:51

Oh yiayia how frustrating for you both. I hope your DH is easily treated.
I was at the hairdresser at eight this morning, the school library at nine then the pharmacy at ten. The only unsuccessful visit was the pharmacy as my prescription wasn't ready. Then Aldi for bread and home. I've pottered about and had another trip to the pharmacy and hour ago, this time successful. A Next delivery arrived half an hour ago and I'm cooking macaroni to make macaroni cheese. So altogether a profitable day. I have felt cold most of the day though. Shortly I'll stick on my dressing gown and maybe have an early night. Enjoy your evening Kitcheners

Some parcels still being delivered here too, but some are being delivered elsewhere! I spent an hour on the phone this morning to a well known retailer (initials J L) trying to convince them that a parcel destined for my address had not been delivered and that the photo of a front door was actually not my front door. They hope to sort it out with the couriers within 6 working days.
llfl I hope the procedure wasn’t too uncomfortable this afternoon and that the results are good.
yiayia I hope your DH is treated promptly and successfully for his illness.
Thinking of all the Kitcheners who are poorly or worried.

I’m a Pisces, DD1 is Aquarius and DD2 is Capricorn!

Usedtobeblonde Wed 26-Nov-25 16:39:00

I had a parcel delivered at 10:40 last night.
I could see the delivery bloke on the ring doorbell opening the porch door.
I thought someone was breaking in then saw him taking a photograph of the parcel and him walking down the drive to his car.
I was gobsmacked.

Jaxjacky Wed 26-Nov-25 16:25:30

Parcels still being delivered here GG13 we’ve discovered our doorbell needs a new battery, apologies to those we mentally cursed for not using it!
It’s been very cold today after a heavy frost, just found some ice floating in a garden bucket, rain due later.
Book club earlier, we now have an Iris Murdoch to read, I'm not excited.
Sorry to hear your news Yia there are a few of us with large weights on their shoulders 💐
I too hope llfl has or had a successful but uneventful procedure.
I’m envious of your dinner choice GG13
Pisces here.

Finally got the last of my parcels delivered today, unless I partake in more finger shopping we no longer have to tag-team to ensure someone is home to accept deliveries.

Meeting up with friends this evening at our local Malaysian restaurant, haven’t seen them since early summer, so lots to catch up on.

Thinking of our poorly kitcheners and those with weights on their shoulders, especially our founder dearest soop 😘

As to birth signs, I don’t like using the word but I was born in July and am a homemaker, which I am.

Snap 👍

It is very quiet, I have just had an hour’s nap, I get so very tired.
My Wednesday friend rang to say she had a cold, I was actually relieved, I didn’t feel up to company.
I hope Llfl is coping with her colonoscopy and FGT has found her H once again feeling brighter.
BothYia and SueDonim are needing our prayers just now.
Soop is always in my thoughts.
I have kept off the news today, well I do everyday but Ihope the budget has not given us any need to worry more.Enjoy the rest of the day as best you can.

Nannytopsy Wed 26-Nov-25 14:30:13

Thank you Grannmarie . I don’t often post but I keep an eye on the kitchen. I’m ok. Just plodding on with life and letting time pass. Hope you’re keeping well. Take care.

Hello 👋 Doodle, lovely to see you in the kitchen! Hope you're doing OK. 🥰

Thinking of our Soops and all with illness, worries or sorrow. Hoping FGT finds Himself in good fettle today. Wrap up warmly on your travels, dear lady, you must look after yourself too. It's very cold and frosty here today.

Well I'm all out of sync today because I slept so much yesterday afternoon. I ended up turning night into day, watched all four episodes of Prisoner 951, such a shocking story of Nazarin Nagharri Radcliffe, all the more heartbreaking because it is true... then I slept late this morning, not like me. So I'm drinking coffee, not my usual Red Bush tea, to avoid sofa siestas today. I need to be up and out early tomorrow, to take my friend to Mass and Coffee Morning, hopefully without calling on the Fire Brigade this week!
Oh, I'm a Scorpio !

Apologies for my lack of care in finding the correct spelling-
Nazanin Zaghari- Ratcliffe.
Spelling names correctly is important.

Hello 👋 YiaYia, fellow Scorpio! I hope your DH gets prompt treatment for his conditions. I think it often happens that when they ( medics) start investigating one condition, they invariably find something else!

Yiayia4 Tue 25-Nov-25 19:07:08

So good to hear your news FGT and hope each day is better.❤️
Lots of hugs SueD.🌻

Another appointment for DH today.I won’t go into it but it’s just so frustrating and yet another illness to add to the list!!

By the way I’m a Scorpio Granmarie.🤣

Grannmarie Tue 25-Nov-25 18:04:26

Nannytopsy 👋 hello and welcome to the sofa siesta club. 😴 Hard to avoid at this time of year. Enjoy your GC cuddles tomorrow.
