I recognise lots of those names and I know some still post either under the name listed or another.

I put me in the search and, apparently, I didn't exist before 2019 but I actually joined about a month after gn started. When was that?

Jinglebellfrocks did die Kate1949. She was banned before that which I thought was rather sad. She was quite sparky and forthright in her opinions but I never felt that what she said was terrible enough to be banned. I didn't always agree with her but I did miss her commentaries when she was banned.
I also miss Galen and Germanshepherdmun [I think that was her name} Galen was helpful to some gransnetters who needed medical and medical tribunal advice. Germansheperdmum was helpful to some who needed legal adice. She isn't in the list above though.
I recognise quite a few names above though I don't think I was posting that early. I mainly just read in those days but still got some helpful advice on various issues. Hope some who recognise themselves will call in and let us know how they're doing.

On the thread about the search facility I decided to see if mine was working It definitely is working and up popped my very first original post which was December 2013 so 12 years ago
I had lots of welcomes which was lovely but I was amazed at so many names no longer posting in fact out of 25 I only found four that I recognise from today You might recognise more than me but here’s the list

Galen still posts sometimes on Facebook (under a different name) so she is stil going strong, so does Glassortwo. Several of the others you list still post on GN, but have changed their names, probably lots of others do, unknown to me. I was quite taken aback when someone with a name I didn't recognise knew something about me that I posted long ago, but when she told me her old name I recognised it.

I think jinglebellfrocks died.

I’ve been on GN since 2011, originally under another name. There are five of the names I don’t recognise.

I had to change my name years ago to be allowed back on, but Charleygirl15 is so similar to Charleygirl#. I also have been around for many years.

I wonder what happened to Galen?

My first message was in 2016 under a different name.

There are only four from that list that I don’t recognise ( Mardle, Agus, rock gran and Nannyfran)Some now post under a different name and about eight I still recognise as regular posters.

There might also be some people who have changed their Gransnet names since 2013 I guess, so it could be even more than the 11 mentioned?

I put in the name I used until I was locked out recently and it came up with no results found.
I have posted frequently for at least 14 years.
