Tip for keeping hands and feet warm

Just read this on line. Heat up ceramic baking beans and put in shoes/boots to warm them up to. I think they could also go in little cloth bags in your coat pockets. They do keep their heat for quite a while.
The article advises heating them in the microwave. I have never done this and will look that up before I venture to put them in the microwave.
But I have a box of beans which rarely get used and cold hands in this chilly weather.

I don’t have any beans now, but that sounds like a good idea.
We were told to use “legwarmers” round our wrists and ankles to help with keeping extremities warmer.

I had a pair of cashmere socks that had worn out at the heels. I cut off the worn parts and turned them into wrist warmers. What a difference it makes on a cold day. I do a lot of typing, so they’re a godsend in winter to keep my fingers supple.

What’s wrong with those little squashy gel things that you can keep in your pocket or in your hand they keep their heat for a good while and are cheap
Never heard of ceramic beans what are they for ?

I have some Ocoopa rechargeable hand warmers that are great if you have to stand in the cold. They come with little pouches and fit in your palm or pocket and they stay warm a good while on low.

My tip for using the ceramic baking beans....which are used when blind baking pastry tarts.... is to use something I have at home already and don't use very often. I don't want to buy anything new. They would warm up cold boots if you put them in a small cloth bag.in each boot. I thought it was a brilliant idea and am going to try it out.

While I was thinking about them in a cloth bag they could be used for sotthing an aching muscle. They are the size of small marbles so when heated and put in a small cloth bag they could be rubbed over an aching neck or back. That I definitely will try making sure they are not too hot of course.
