The postman just called, to collect 3 parcels (🎄presents) I wrapped yesterday. (God bless Click and Drop)
It was past 11.30 and I still wasn’t dressed! 😱
Sitting here scrolling WhatsApp, Gn, FB etc, and doing the word puzzles in the paper.
I’m off upstairs this minute!

I'm still not dressed either smile

Well…….I am waiting for a delivery from Evri but I’m dressed …….sort of…….hair looks like a sparrows nesting in it! Do I care? Nope! Happy Saturday everyone!

I was once on the phone to a Swedish friend, now back in Stockholm, and said, ‘It’s ten to eleven and I’m still in my dressing gown.’

She replied, ‘It’s ten to twelve here, and I’m still in mine, too!’ 😂

When I am downstairs I am always dressed after being extremely embarrassed when some friends called round one mid-morning and I was in my dressing gown looking completely dishevelled. Now they’d find me looking neat and clean, lippy on, whatever the time of day.

I'm sure he's seen much worse...

I just can't do it. When I get up in the morning I have to shower and dress. I think it's probably to do with my upbringing, as children, my sisters and I were taught not to come downstairs until we were washed and dressed.
Old habits die hard.

I dread to think how I've answered the door in the past!
Once in a 1920's costume with a bent feather in my headress and people lolling about with hangovers.
The Great Gatsby is on and it reminded me.

It looked bad ,but it was fun .

These days , I'm in my pyjamas until lunchtime unless I'm going out .
Some of my pyjamas look like day wear anyway .
Once a couple of people see you like that you stop caring !

I got showered and dressed at 12.50 and then went out. I did clean out a food cupboard, put the sheets on a wash, and clean down the work surfaces before though.

SueDonim Sat 06-Dec-25 17:54:39

I get dressed first thing but when people nowadays go shopping in pyjamas and/or dressing gowns, answering the door in those items seems pretty tame. And don’t forget the famous photo of Cherie Blair answering the door in her nightie! grin

Not a thing I'm likely to bother myself about unduly personally - after the major renovation work I had to have done on my house to start with resulted in me having to climb back into my house via a sitting room window (in a very short nightdress) and cue for noticing one of the workmen had just come up right behind me.....whoops! Yep....that nightdress was all I was wearing.....neither of us said a word.....

I stay in bed till 11am reading a good book or on iPad with loads of coffee if I’ve nothing planned. God help anyone who knocks on the door!!

After years of getting up early for school, college, work and getting kids ready for school, it’s now my time!!

The tradesman replastering our bedrooms arrives at 7.30 each morning. One morning slowly coming to, I heard his voice downstairs talking to DH. I had overslept and DH had assumed my alarm was set!

I was up and dressed in about 5 minutes so that I could casually walk into the bedroom he was gettingr eady to work in looking as if I had been dressed for years and was just doing some housewifely tasks upstairs.
