Good morning from South Lanarkshire where the forecast is for rain, sadly.

Karma I envy your dressmaking ability.

Yesterday’s Angel Drop went well, it was a calm, mild morning there were several posts on the local Facebook group later in the day from people saying how much they love finding one of the angels. There were just five of us and we went for breakfast afterwards in one of the cafés.

Today is the annual outdoor Reindeer Day with stalls, music, Santa and visiting reindeer installed in the ‘washing green’ which is a little park where people could hang their washing to dry. The washing line poles are still in place.

I think I’ll write cards this afternoon.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Morning from a wet S Hants, forecast for the next few days looks similar.
Yesterday was newspaper, a walk the driving granddaughter to work.
Today we need to start sorting out our tree, it’s in water outside, a practice run of sitting it in the holder.
Meat draw later, gammon will be in the slow cooker.
Have a pleasant day all.

Good morning, another very wet day for us here in south Glos - my nearly new waterproof coat for dog walking apparently isn’t so…..I got soaked yesterday morning. I’ll try reproofing it but not that hopeful.
I’ve been awake since just after midnight, I had two hours sleep 😵‍💫) so it’s just as well I don’t have anything on today. I’ve finished reading my book and started another, had three cups of coffee (caffeine doesn’t keep me awake) and I’ll be ready for bed by mid afternoon!
I’m looking forward to DS, DDIL and the DGSs coming for the weekend of my birthday just before Christmas, I haven’t seen them since February I think?
Best wishes to everyone 🌹

Good morning from a dull and damp Black Country.

No real plans today. MrJ is going over to a cafe to pay deposits for his cycle club Chistmas ride. So I may go over for the drive and can pop into Mums on the way back. He has now been voted onto the Committee! Good luck with that said I smile

Really must get on and sign cards and sort out birthdays, as DD's is 18th December, and DS's 29th! How I managed that I do not know! DS will be 50! Then Mums is 3rd January.

Happy belated Birthday Pantglas hope you had a lovely day and are enjoying your holiday. Two years since I hit 70 and it has whizzed by!

Wishing you all a lovely day

Good morning from s somerset, rain and grim today

Yesterday was so calm, peaceful and productive in my house. I wore my new denim skirt and warm blue top. They felt different when I put them on, too stiff but they mellowed and I was so comfortable and warm all day long. First time I have ever made a denim skirt and the fabric will get even better with time. Fit was perfect so that is me sorted, with another `go to` pattern

Shepherd skirt is almost done, just the buttons and hem left and I padded the waist on my dressform, so I could actually hang the skirt

My DDs took part in a trail race together, one came first out of all the ladies and one second in the over 50 group. They are both elated. I feel that in time we will all end up back in S Wales, close together but not for a few years at least. Moving with jobs split us up

So life goes on, albeit quietly just now and the rain can batter the windows while I get on with my sewing, knitting and making meals for myself. Any exercise today will be indoors

Have a good day

Good morning everyone 👋 and thank you all for your birthday greetings on my Biblical achievement (my holiday companion made sure everyone in the restaurant knew, with large ‘70’ candles he’d brought along…🤦‍♀️🤬). Hope your daughter had a good day too Gingster!

We have lashings of sunshine at last so sending 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞 it along to those in need - yes Georgesgran, fill your boots! I’m not looking forward to rain when I return on Wednesday so save some for me please…

A peaceful Sunday for all especially those with troubles x

Good morning from Malta where a sunny day is forecast with a high of 17°C.

Not a very exciting day yesterday but did some laundry, stripped the bed etc. so not entirely wasted.

Had a lovely long FaceTime with DD2 and DGD as they drove to Kentucky for softball practice. It’s cold now so they were going to an indoor facility. Quite a change from when they lived in Florida but they are much happier living in Tennessee.

Mass this morning, chat with my pal in Leicester and later my nephew is phoning as we haven’t had a catch up for a while.

I’ve also got Winston the grand-cat back in residence so am enjoying having him around.

Well done with the Christmas tree grandMattie, you do work hard.

Wishing a good day to all.☀️

Good morning from a wet Bristol. Weather warnings or rain for today until Wednesday….
The hurst as tree decoration went well - I think we have made it abundantly clear who we are! It’s colourful.
Had a hit chocolate in the village with my AgeUK friend, then back to the very cold church for coffee and chat.
The heating solution, which was apparently simple, has become complicated with insurance rules. This will probably mean that, instead of having the heating done and dusted by February, it will now be some unknown date in the future. A real pity.
The rest of the day quiet.
Hugs to the fgts and md, prayers for everyone, especially the mountaineers.

Good Morning Everyone,
Its a dark but dry and cold start here in Brackley this morning.
Yesterdays coach trip was OK apart from the weather paying its toll as to doing the cruise up and down the Trent at Nottingham , the base for the boat cruise is close Nottingham Racecourse .
Today staying in , Health OK,
Take Care,
