My son worked for them last Christmas- awful employers.

My evri guy is good miserable but good!

Our Evri driver is excellent, but Yodel left a box of wine at the bottom of the drive while we were away. Just as well people round here are honest!

25Avalon Mon 15-Dec-25 21:22:38

Did anyone actually watch the programme?

lemsip Mon 15-Dec-25 21:14:38

yes, my evri driver is very good.

TillyTrotter Mon 15-Dec-25 20:47:55

Our regular EVri courier is great at her job and highly dependable. She has worked for them, and Hermes who they took over, for 2 decades.
She always gets 5 star reviews from me.
I appreciate I am very fortunate.

My ‘across the road’ neighbour came in the charity shop I work in with a small package for me I don’t really know the lady and all we do is nod in the street Anyway it appears she saw the Evri man went across the road and told him I was out and she d take my parcel in and she brought it to me in the shop which is only a block away I thanked her and when I got home I was amazed to see I had no card or note to say where it had been left If she hadn’t been honest I d have had no idea where it was
And to top it all I had a clear note on my door telling them to leave next door but one with neighbours name and number
They always leave everything on my doorstep even when I ve made alternative arrangements

That is quite bad of them to just hand the parcel over to a random neighbour without your specific instruction.

pably we had the same problem.A lovely Hermes / Evri chap who was excellent. Since then new drivers, some who seem unable to read.

I usually find Evri quite reliable. They email with a delivery slot and usually turn up on time. I had one lady who would come back two or three times if I missed the email and ad gone out.

My Evri deliveries are great. It’s DPD that give us grief

Complete reverse here. I go out my way to avoid Evri - they have lost 5 bags of dog food and I had to drive 40 mile round trip to pet shop to get some food (I usually have at least 2 weeks worth in stock but Evri just couldn’t/wouldn’t deliver)

Their best day was when they delivered something else and I checked with the driver that he didn’t have the dog food but by the time I got indoors it had been left in a safe place according to an email at the time I was talking to him but no photo.

The letter our MP got back from Evri said that because they were unable to recruit delivery drivers in our area, they contracted the deliveries out, which was why there are issues. It’s not much consolation to know that.

pably15 Mon 15-Dec-25 19:10:58

for years , when it was Hermes, we had no problems even when it changed it's name , we always had the same driver, and he went out of his way to deliver, After he retired the problems started, it was different drivers, never the same one. and there's not many companies give you the choice of deliveries, Evri I think is cheapest I know where we live some people are waiting weeks for their parcels.

LOUISA1523 Mon 15-Dec-25 19:02:04

I am actually waiting for an evri delivery ad we speak ! ...First they said yesterday and then this morning...and then 4 to 6pm....and just had another email to say it will still arrive today...so who knows ! 🤷‍♀️....its a rug from Next ...so I will phone Next tomorrow if it doesn't arrive

It obviously varies from area to area. I have no complaints (touch wood) about Evri where I live. Yodel used to be appalling but they seem to have cleaned up their act.

Witzend Mon 15-Dec-25 19:01:16

It does seem to depend on where you live. Personally I’d never choose to use them, not after a parcel was just dumped on a neighbour’s doorstep. If Royal Mail is an option, I use that, since around here the service is very good. It’s £1 more than Evri for my yarn orders, but to me, well worth it.

Desdemona Mon 15-Dec-25 18:55:35

Lush use them, which is a shame as Lush products are expensive and shouldn't be out in the rain. They don't bother to knock and leave the cardboard boxes outside in the garden for the elements to destroy. They will ignore wherever you have designated as a safe space.

We've personally had no problem with Evri, although neighbours and friends have. I had a message from Evri to say that my last delivery was delayed and I expected a problem. After a couple of days I was told when the parcel would be delivered and it arrived on time with a cheerful and friendly courier.

A couple of years ago, though, we experienced very poor service from Yodel. Parcels were scattered round the village, having fallen from the van, and Yodel did nothing when we finally managed to contact them. On Christmas Eve we drove to the nearby town and delivered them ourselves to the intended recipients.

ferry23 Mon 15-Dec-25 18:29:39

I'm not sure what they're going to uncover.

They underpay their drivers and give them far more deliveries than is feasible.

They're a pretty ps poor company and trying to fool us with "rebranding" hasn't worked.

I'm surprised so many of the major retailers still use them.

Astitchintime Mon 15-Dec-25 18:25:06

I placed an order with Amazon. The seller was in Germany and the parcel should have reached me by Monday 8th as the seller claimed it had been dispatched on the 4th…….EVRI stated they were waiting for the parcel and their App still states ‘we are waiting for you parcel’ . That screen hasn’t been updated at all! But I have had a refund for my order. Therefore I have NO faith in EVRI whatsoever! You can’t make enquiries, you can’t speak to anyone and it is so frustrating!

Oregano Mon 15-Dec-25 18:12:36

We have a lovely Evri courier, she's always smiling and does a great job.

Spidergran3 Mon 15-Dec-25 18:10:18

Grannynannywanny Mon 15-Dec-25 18:08:50

They are very difficult to avoid and it’s not always possible to know in advance who will be the designated courier service when placing an online order.

I’m currently very disappointed in their poor service. An item I ordered has been lying in their depot for the past 7 days. I needed it today 😡

Casdon Mon 15-Dec-25 17:51:12

Things are pretty awful with Evri where I am, so bad that our MP wrote to them on behalf of the community to raise concerns.

25Avalon Mon 15-Dec-25 17:47:05

Panorama tonight on BBC1 at 8pm is all about Evri. If you have been let down this could be an interesting watch.
