Am glad he has been dropped, he always struck me as arrogant and probably thought - like some other men in the public eye - that he was above being held accountable.
I had to read some of his books to my GCs and although some of the early ones were OK, they just became worse and worse. I even wonder if the first ones were ghost written.
He clearly sees himself as the natural heir to Roald Dahl but he has none of Roald Dahl's flair, originality or talent. His books even copy the format of the Dahl books.
