I don’t really like shortbread, but…

Just been given a tin of M&S shortbread - after deciding not to buy one this year!

I do have a collection of those tins which I keep meaning to throw out but they are so useful (not just for food).

Why are all the messages coming up the wrong way round? The first ones are at the bottom! On my laptop I can click on "flip", but not on my phone. I don't understand why this is happening, but it's very annoying!

That jack in the bix tin sounds lovely.

Shortbread lover here and I use the tins for my craft bits and bobs.

I make my own and use a pretty tin that a friend gave me several years ago.

I love shortbread and make my own but am very pleased to have been given a tin of M&S as I’m in need of a new cake tin for my flapjack.

Love shortbread. Just bought a pack today ?

I buy them each year and unfortunately - for my waistline - I love the shortbread too.
It’s very good quality if you don’t bake your own (as my Scottish MIL used to).

I've bought the jack in the box shortbread tin from M&S for the little girl next door. The family are Indian and I thought it was quite a 'British' thing to do

must admit do like a nice bit of shortbread but I agree the tins are pretty and you dont often see proper tins just plastic which get so brittle.
i like shortbread as you can nibble it while watching tv or add fruit and cream to it or have it with ice cream

Almost every year I buy one of those big M&S 🎄tins, because the tins just fit nicely a double batch of the cheese straws I often make for family gatherings (they always go).

Plus they just fit very nicely a dozen fairy cakes, which I often make for Gdcs’ birthday parties. But the tins do eventually get a bit tatty, so need replacing.
Dh can usually be persuaded to eat the shortbread….

Does anyone else buy it largely, or at least partly, for the tins?
