Inedible dog Bedding......

....does it exist?

I have seen the advertisements for indestructible basket liners, with Alsatians madly tugging at the bedding but I don't believe a word of it!!

My Flatcoat has eaten a blue blanket, a cream blanket, a grey army blanket, a yellow insulated one, two vet fleece crate liners, a couple of fleeces and a synthetic duvet! Oh, I did get a comfy looking bed for my ancient Goldie. She loved it. He disembowelled it!

He has never attempted to be destructive when on our bed and my current GR has an old feather and down duvet in his basket. Untouched!

Has anyone found something which is indestructible? I should be immensely grateful if someone has a bright idea. He is about 4 years old, by the way.

No. You have to keep replacing until your dog gets fed up of biting it.

I wouldn’t really, having had dogs for years. In fact, it was taking my dog to a dog-training class (he was a nightmare until I did that), was the reason I met my wonderful husband. His mum ran the classes and he turned up at a class one night to take her home and ended up taking me home instead!! We were married for 57 years, until his death in 2020.
I owe my happy life to that little dog!

It's something about their beds isn't it? If the dog doesn't do it on your bed? I don't suppose a chewbone in the bed would stop him? :-) I guess it's a game. Second vetbed! We had a dog when I was a child (I'm allergic unfortunately so not had one for a long time), that used to steal cuddly toys from childrens beds, put them in her bed and pull all the stuffing out ha ha.

Thank you! I was a very lucky lady and feel blessed.

Does he sleep in a closed crate? If so I suspect the destruction of the bedding is a prison protest
