Yes. Well worth it. Get a rechargeable one. Some good prices in the sales at the moment. We bought ours from Argos with the extended guarantee. We did have to take it back months later and got a replacement for the cost of the next guarantee/insurance.
It gets those tiny bits of food from between your teeth that the toothbrush leaves behind. However, floss first, then brush.
We also have a sonic toothbrush. Really noticed the difference. Whiter teeth and no need for the dentist to descale the teeth. Fantastic for sensitive teeth.

Yes, I use a Waterpik every day. While it doesn’t really replace flossing, it does remove food debris from between teeth and leaves your mouth feeling cleaner. There is a knack to using one, however. And that is to close your mouth while using to stop water going everywhere! I don’t think it actually removes plaque, which is why you should floss as well.

It is also useful when using antiseptic - I suffer from recurring abscesses.

I've been using one for many years ever since I had dental implants done and highly recommend them. I use it every morning before cleaning with an electric toothbrush to remove food debris and yes - the trick is to keep your mouth closed over it and let the water run out into the sink.

I use a Waterpik twice a day. It has a dial 1-10 so you can adjust the flow of water so it doesn't hurt. Always use warm water.

Don't forget to turn off the water before you take it out of your mouth...!

My dentist uses the same one. He uses his every time he's eaten something!

Use mine daily, yes warm water and a dash of mouth wash before electric toothbrush. Lean forward over sink, put picker in mouth, turn it on and allow water to spill into sink. My dentist is very happy with my clean mouth and made my next appointment 9 months instead of 6 months

I have been using one for the last year, and find it very good.

As others have said, though, it takes practice to avoid drenching yourself or the bathroom, or, if you are really unlucky / careless, accidentally shooting yourself in the eye with it - yes, I did that ( somehow pressed the 'on' button as i removed the device from my mouth), and it hurt like hell, though no harm done.

Don't use cold water!

Used one for years, used almost daily and was recommended by dentist. Still floss daily but used as an extra, no idea if I'm wasting my time or not but can only help.

Hubby uses it in the shower to save on cleanup.

I do hope no-one inadvertantly tries to market this gadget in Denmark under either of the brand names used in English!

I love mine and my hygienist loves that I use it daily.

I have one, dentist told me they are better than flossing, bit awkward till you get used to them.

Whoops....guess it's time I got the one I bought out to have a go....errrrm....I bought it before I moved here....which makes it over 12 years it's been sitting there unused.....whoops...

Yes I have a waterpik and the first time you use it you will be surprised how much debris is lurking in those places you thought you had reached with the electric toothbrush and flossing. There is a choice of modes, somw are harder and faster than others and remember to keep your mouth closed until you spit out the water, otherwise it will go everywhere.

Mine is entry level but my hygienist has said I have reversed the gum erosion just by using it 3/4 times a week over the last 6 months. I use mine either in the bath or shower and I’ve improved my technique with practice.

Yes, I agree, the knack is to close your mouth when using.

I discovered the hard way when the sink, the mirror and down my front were drenched - and as it was a new device finding how to switch it off in the midst of the drenching meant it kept spraying until it emptied

You need to lean forward (not look up), purse your lips so there is just a small gap for water to leave your mouth and pause it between each tooth for as long as it takes to think the word ‘pause’.

Yes I have used the Waterpik waterflosser for over 12 years.
My dentist advised me to use it.
I have not needed any dental work done in that time at all and the dental hygienist always comments on how clean my mouth is. I highly recommend the Waterpik. I have tried others but none were as powerful.

Yes, I bought an inexpensive one from Amazon over a year ago. I don’t use it every day but fairly regularly and it certainly seems to reach the places brushing alone misses. My dentist is happy that I use one.
