It's just me and my man friend for Christmas. We are both in our eighties and struggling to do things that once came easy to us. We had a turkey roast at the pub last week, so on Christmas Day it will just be sliced ham and beef from the butchers with mashed potato etc. We will probably have Christmas pudding and custard around teatime.

I once had Christmas Day on my own and I found it hard. I know others face a more challenging time at Christmas than I did back then. And I wanted to send hugs and good wishes to everyone who is doing all they can to have a good day, although there is sadness there too. I hope the good wishes of people you do not know, but who connect with you in GN, will help cheer you and feel a kind of invisible friedship to lighten your day and the days to come.
