Hello again

I have not posted here before, quite a few years ago Soop sent me PM, she was very kind to me when others were not.

I have never forgotten this and I wish her and her husband well.

You have been posting on this site since at least September 2023, Netherbyg84.
I'm amazed you've not come across Soop and her kitchen!

netherbyg84, soop, is one of our long standing posters. She set up soops kitchen as a haven and has continued it as time has gone on. She is very kind and thoughtful but has not been on gn for a while. We are all so chuffed to have her back with us.

I will return tomorrow. Farewell for now.

Who is Soop and why is she so wonderful?

Used to be blonde After a follow on session with my son, I trust that I will soon be feeling as positive with my "bit of kit". Watch this space.

The weather is blustery and the gigantic waves are white-capped. A rainbow has coloured the metallic grey sky. The islands of the inner Hebrides appear to have been created with an artist's brush and palette.

Hello dear Baggs and warmest first day of the year 2026 to all our wonderful Kitcheners. Your kind and comforting messages are better than all the medications that dear Mr Soop administers daily from dawn to dusk.

We remained awake until 12:45, lifted a glass of sparkling wine and exchanged a fond first kiss of the new year.

To You lovely lot we send our fondest love and best wishes for all the good things that you hope for. Topping the list, we wish you good health and the wherewithal to cope with challenges that may confront you and test your strength of character.

Dear soop.
I use my tablet for everything, I have had laptops but just love the ease and convenience of a tablet.
I even watch tv in bed on it.
My favourite bit of kit.
I hope you will love it as much as I do.

Hello cornergran, Bless you for your optimism. I am still using the computer, however my son returns to spend time with us later this afternoon. He is a patient lad...he needs to be.

Back from a wonderfully happy day with family what a treat to find you’re back soop. That tablet will soon be easy peasy. I hope .

Hello, dear soop. I'm so glad you are managing topost again. I'm sure your son will help you with the proper set up of your tablet. Do persevere as it will be a lot easier than perching on a stool.

Meantime, one can't help but be impressed by your determination to get onto Gransnet again. I know how much you've missed it as well as how difficult it has been.

I imagine that many of you will stay awake late enough to greet the New Year. I trust that 2026 will be kind to you and those you love. Good health is the gift that tops my list. That and kindness towards our fellow men and all innocent creatures. At this time of the year, many t.v. advertisements dealing with cruelty to animals bring tears to my eyes.

As we raise a glass of cheer this evening I will be thinking of you all. You are VERY special people.

I had not realised how important you lovely lot are to my sense of well being. Having read through your wonderful welcome back message I am determined to visit our kitchen daily. Right now I am perched on the computer stool, in time, with practice, I hope to be competent enough to use my smart tablet. Thing is, I try to use it in landscape mode but the tablet won't oblige. I do not require apps...and the machine thinks otherwise and keeps interrupting and interfering in between every word I type. In short...it is one buggeration after another. .

What a really pleasant surprise "seeing" you back-you have been greatly missed.

I do hope you can find space for food between the tablets. It sounds as though you are being well cared for.

It will be colder in your neck of the woods as you are so close to the sea.
