I was disappointed in this years display, very repetitive and where were the drones they showed on previous years? When you look at other countries display, Thailand for example, I thought it lacked creativity.

Im a spoilsport too then. I do think the fireworks could be a little bit less considering all the other things that need money. It feels a bit like countries are competing with each other. I also had reservations about the way the uk was portrayed in the commentary. But each to their own. I’m sure I’m in the minority.

Was disappointed this year. Very repetitive. Also, the thought of all that money going up in smoke ruined it for me. What could have been done for people in need with the money that cost?
Sorry if I come over as a spoilsport, but honestly!!

Untrue conspiracy stuff. There was a temporary it h with some of the range of the colour blue and some flags were temporarily affected. Don’t spread these lies

Watching on TV, I don’t think the coverage was as good as previous years. The camera kept swapping angles, and moving around. We tried several channels and ended up with BBC, as at least they didn’t have an annoying strap line on the screen. I know it’s good to show different views, but it hardly gave chance to view anything properly.
Incidentally, we rather enjoy the drones, and wonder at the programming etc. and maybe less of an environmental impact?

There were some comments that some of the flags featured had been interfered with e.g. I think there was mention that something had been done to the flag of Iran, and the Star of David had been removed from the Israeli flag. Not sure if there were others but I wish this hadn’t been done. It makes the display political, which I’d rather steer clear of.

Apparently, the Star of David was there but there was a glitch with some of the blue and white flags, parts of which disappeared. The star was visible for a few seconds. This article explains it.

I liked that it was all real fireworks. I thought that the drones last year were a wee bit boring, even though they could do different things from a firework.

Funny that the London fireworks paid for by Londoners is criticised as “ London centric”.

l thought it was very repetetive and lacjed creatuvity .
Massive amounts of the same fireworks over and over again.

The bigger the better?

Whilst I thought the display was very good, I felt it wasn’t very inclusive of the other parts of the United Kingdom - particularly Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. It was all very London centric.
