The news and Politics threads tend to be the ones where emotions do flare over matters close to people's deep concerns, but unless you like taking politics, the rest of GN is full of variety - try working your way through the different forums and seeing what is in there.

An AIBU thread means is "am I being unreasonable" and sometimes there is some controversy when posters feel of the O/P (opening post) they are being unreasonable.
