A late one J52 have a lover birthday 🎂🥳
Thank you everyone for my birthday wishes x
Good morning, Michael12 and everyone!
Marzipan22, thanks for the gorgeous photo!
I was at my laptop on the kitchen table in the early hours, watching 3 films, all lights off, guzzling mugs of PG Tips, scoffing Chicken Poppers I'd bunged in the microwave for 2 minutes, hugging hot water bottles, wrapped up in a hoodie fleece, wooley hat, and watching the glorious snow tumble down here in Appleby! It was beautiful!
I watched Child of Rage with Dwight Schultz and Mel Harris, and the amazingly brilliant Ashley Peldon, who played a 7-year-old traumatised Cat. She was fantastic for her age, and I genuinely think she should have got an Oscar for her acting!
Trigger warning - contains scenes of very serious baby abuse. And also Sam Gifaldi as Cat's twin brother, Eric.
No dogs, cats, birds or kids were harmed during the making of the film.
I also watched a 1979 comedy, Meatballs, which had me on the floor laughing, with Bill Murray, and also White Settlers with Pollyanna McIntosh.
It's now 11:27 am, and I'm off the the local bakery for a takeaway hot choc with all the trimmings!
I hope you all have a good one, whatever you're doing!
Happy birthday Kitty and J52.
Hope your op goes ahead Kitty and you don’t have to wait any longer.
Happy Birthday, Kitty💐🎂 and good wishes for tomorrow.
Happy Birthday, Kittylester and J52 🥂🎂💐
Happy birthday J52💐
Another beautiful day here in Kent - sunny, blue sky, frost on the ground, very still.
Yesterday was very quiet. Church, knitting, reading, walking.
Today - gym then more knitting.
I don't live a very exciting life but am very contented with my hobbies.
Have a happy day all.
Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
Quiet day yesterday, I practised some songs, did some mending and spent a frustrating amount of time trying to get into Now tv in the evening to watch the third series of the Gilded Age…
FaceTime with flying DD in Santiago, Chile which is longest stop over she has had so far and having a great time after a long flight.
I might go to a sing a round at a local folk club tonight, although my heated throw, books and tv are very tempting in this weather.
Happy birthday kitty 🥂
Happy birthday kitty and good luck.
Good morning all. A heavy frost and sunshine to start the day in Glasgow.
We had a barely worth mentioning smattering of snow whilst I was out shopping….I’m not complaining. I too collected a pair of navy M&S cords yesterday Grey. Perfect fit. Hope you are equally pleased with yours too.
I have been invited to,lunch at DD1s as GD2 will be back at school tomorrow and GD1 will be home too.
Happy birthday to J52 and kitty.
Best wishes to all for a good day.
Oops Happy Birthday J52 🎂🥂🍾🎉

Happy Birthday J52
Good morning all and a heavy frost here in Essex.
We went to the Panto yesterday ‘Oh yes we did’, and enjoyed it very much. It was the last performance so a little risqué in parts but very funny. We saw another beautiful sunset over the sea/estuary so another bonus. Thanks for thinking of us Liberty.
Today I’m hopping on the train , just two stops along, and meeting my old school pal for coffee and probably a pastry.
Chat for a couple of hours and get the train back. Door to door it’s only 20 mins and not worth the drive and parking.
Keep safe all who are venturing out. ❄️
Good morning Mick and everyone.
Here in Shropshire we've had an overnight fall of snow. The previous lot had just cleared when I went to bed last night.
I intended to go to town this morning to collect a jumper from Marks and Spencer, but I'll leave it.
I will pop to the letterbox to post a birthday card to my oldest friend.
She's due to have a melanoma removed in a few days. It's only a few months since she finished chemotherapy.
Wishing Kitty a happy birthday and best wishes for her operation.
My thoughts are with those of you who are finding life challenging.
Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire.
I’m still in bed enjoying my morning tea. MrB has gone to Lidl. Yesterday’s snow seems to have gone, it was only a sprinkling in the end. We will be going for a walk later this morning so I hope the paths are not icy.
Sending love and positive energy to our poorly grans and those with troubles.
Wishing you all a good day, whatever you’re doing.
Good morning all from Glasgow, where it is -6°C and I certainly can affirm that. Brrr.🥶
I have been outside in my jammies, covered by a wine coloured fur coat, (it was waiting to get hung up), which matched them exactly. 😁 I looked so elegant like a glamorous Hollywood film star of a bygone era.
DH had come up to alert me, that the back window in my car was down, He couldn't get into my car, because the seat was so far forward, so I had to get up. It was bitterly cold.
A lesson to always move it back.
Happy birthday, Kitty, good luck for tomorrow.
My plans fell apart yesterday, when DH informed me that the trees and decorations were coming down. We had agreed on today to do it. As expected there was anarchy and absolute chaos. 😭
I was fuming at having to shelve my plans.Thank goodness, DH can't hear well denied deafness , there were a lot of naughty words, muttered under my breath. 🤬
Today my plan is to do the tasks I didn't get done yesterday.
I will need to go and put back the ironed tea towels in the Parish Hall kitchen.
I have had a painful and restless night, with little sleep. I am not too well just now and thoroughly fed up with my lot. There is so much I want to do, but can't.
A word is needed with the P.P. He was contacted by people wanting to advertise on the website, under the guise of helping parents with their children.
They are in fact American bloggers, with a product to sell. Oh so clever!
I wish you all a pleasant day, stay safe and Brook safe journey.
GG 💐, I feel for you. That is why I declined a third course of the devil's drug prednisolone, it was affecting me very badly.x
Good morning from an even colder Suffolk where we had more snow overnight. I haven’t been out of the house since Friday and don’t intend to do so today.
I’m supposed to be going by train tomorrow to London to meet a friend I worked with over 45 years ago but I’ve already warned him I’m unlikely to venture out on to the dangerous lanes and side roads for the few miles to the nearest station.
He has a long journey from Worcester but may still go as another friend was meeting us for lunch and then a visit to an exhibition at the British Library.
Happy birthday to those celebrating today. Gingster I was pleased to hear yesterday that you had tickets for the panto and I hope that you all enjoyed it,especially your DGD whose response to the aborted visit before was so kind to her mum.
Good morning everyone from a freezing snow-covered Northampton; I'm glad I kept my heating on overnight, it made getting out of bed that bit more comfortable. Although it was still a bit of a shock as the 6.30 am alarm I'd set on Alexa did not go off (or I slept through it), and I eventually woke at 7.30!
However, now showered and dressed with a mug of hot tea, I'm feeling a bit better. Still hope to get out to yoga. One of the cats has the right idea - she's settled down onto her radiator bed!
Yesterday was spent dis-mantling the Christmas tree and packing its decorations safely away. I shall be taking the rest of the decorations and cards down this afternoon. Always takes me a few days to get used to the bare room.
Stay warm and wishing you all a pleasant day.
Good morning everyone from Cambridgeshire where we have a dusting of snow and -4 degrees. I guess this will cause chaos to those moving around early this morning as we are not used to snow in this area.
Today we will take the Christmas decorations down and put away in the loft. DD2 has invited us over this afternoon as the little ones return to school tomorrow. I think there are plans to get the Scalextrics out for grandad to repair and play 😂
Happy Birthday Kittylester and all the best for your op. Happy holiday Brook and hope all those feeling poorly have a good day. Onwards and upwards into 2026. Thinking particularly of those facing higher hills to climb ❤️
