Good morning from a wet Bristol. The only good thing is that it isn’t as cold.
Storm Goretti is certainly bringing destruction and heartache in its wake. I hope that all our friends caught up in this awful weather are safe,
I had a productive sewing morning and made soup for lunch.
I fell asleep afterwards and woke up in the gloomy afternoon, completely discombobulated, not knowing whether I had spent the night in my chair or had a deep nap. Most odd.
DD texted me to say she pick me up after a meeting, naively, I assumed she had a meeting near me. No, she came out specially to pick me up; her meeting was at her own church, near her house! I was very touched as it’s the first time she’s done that, usually leaving me to come out in all weathers.
Today, I’ve got my Spanish class. I’m going to need to re-enrol for the next 5 months, either today or next week.
I hope today isn’t too bad for the strugglers and all those caught up in this storm.

Good morning Mick, good morning all. I hope nobody has been affected by the storm. It seems quiet here in Kent.
I had a relaxing day yesterday. Mostly did some knitting. I have a busy weekend coming up travelling today towards the Midlands by train to visit relatives. I'm hoping there won't be any travel disruptions but I'll take some food and water with me just in case.
Stay safe and warm everyone.

Good morning Mick and all who follow.
Wet here in the NE but not as cold.
Yesterday had a pleasant afternoon with my sister and BIL, first visit since beginning of December so we toasted the New Year with a glass of Champagne.
Today DD and SIL are going to take me shopping and perhaps out for lunch.
DS says the weather forecast is for snow on Saturday so may not be able to visit so wait and see.
Stay safe and warm.
