If you could be anyone else, who would it be? Only frivolous and non-judgmental answers please. It's just a bit of fun.

I'd be Claudia. I so would.

@Sadgrandma me too . I would make better choices in men but then I wouldn’t have my wonderful children. I would like to have been a star in a west end musical.

Sadgrandma

I’d like to be me but 40 years younger.

61 year old me is far superior to 21 year old me in every way.

A Queen of somewhere, maybe Sheba?
It would be delightful to be waited on by courtiers ( after nearly 50 years of marriage and being the sole Cook in our house).

The first person popping into my head is Pam Ayers, it would be fun to have her ability with words and to make people laugh.

Pam was rapidly followed by Katherine Jenkins because I can’t sing a note and would really enjoy being able to.

Amal Clooney. Wife of George… wink

Kate1949 Sun 11-Jan-26 22:26:41

Pattie Boyd

Ok. More frivolous. Joyce Grenfell.

I’d be my aunt who was a very beautiful and clever woman who knew how to enjoy life. She was always surrounded by friends and never short of male admiration, was married twice but no children. Whenever I was in her orbit I felt extremely special, and can see her now teaching me how to do the twist in our front room. She died in her forties in a car accident. Very much missed.

I love travel, and an adventure, and I’d want to be somebody who has had a rich and varied life, so I think I’d be Michael Palin.

Franski Sun 11-Jan-26 21:47:16

Fiona Bruce..!

Basgetti Sun 11-Jan-26 21:45:53

Second choice, Lucy Worsley

Basgetti Sun 11-Jan-26 21:45:28

Me 😊

Lathyrus3 Sun 11-Jan-26 21:36:16

In that case I think I’d like to be Mike Oldfield. I’d love to be able to play so many instruments😀

Even being able to clap in time would be good…..

keepingquiet Sun 11-Jan-26 21:35:28

I'm having a long think...be back!

ferry23 Sun 11-Jan-26 21:27:32

Do you get to have their whole life - or do you get to be them now as they are and live on from there?

Just thinking David Attenborough might not be the best choice😬

However you want it to be Lathyrus 🙂

Grandma70s Sun 11-Jan-26 21:10:40

I’d be Margot Fonteyn, but with a different husband.

Tim Peake. Imagine seeing the Earth from space!

Romola Sun 11-Jan-26 20:51:24

Come to think, there are various men I wouldn't mind being. I reckon they have a better time than us women.

But my top pick is David Attenborough. He's had an incredible life.

Is that frivolous enough?

Oreo Sun 11-Jan-26 20:07:54

I’d be Liz Taylor but would have stayed clear of the booze.😃

crazyH Sun 11-Jan-26 20:04:38

I’d be Victoria Wood - so witty, so talented !

Cossy Sun 11-Jan-26 19:42:22

I’d be Lillie Langtry

foxie48 Sun 11-Jan-26 19:35:24

I'd be one of my daughters as they have been given advantages that I never had and have also benefited from having the perfect mother! (not sure that they would entirely agree but no one is asking them!)

Rocketstop2 Sun 11-Jan-26 19:13:02

I'd maybe be 'Andrew' ..think how much I'd save on deodorant
wink
