If you could be anyone else, who would it be? Only frivolous and non-judgmental answers please. It's just a bit of fun.

I'd be Claudia. I so would.

Joanne Woodward, and then I could be married to Paul Newman! On second thoughts, I think I'd rather stick with DH - his eyes are just as blue.

Lady Mary Crawley.

Of course she's not a real person so I'll just be as I am.

Elizabeth 1, a strong woman, sometime times called the virgin queen 😂 & childfree.

icanhandthemback Tue 13-Jan-26 11:32:04

I'd be Jack Black. He's funny, makes music and is able to perform on stage without shaking like a leaf like me who wanted to be a concert pianist but suffered so badly with nerves.

Alternatively, Nina Simone. What a voice. What a talent.

I'd like to be Victoria Beckham . Only to snuggle up with David though

We were set this as an essay question when we were about 12, a class of grammar-school girls being ‘someone else for a day’. Florence Nightingale, Gladys Aylward, Helen Keller were popular I remember. I wrote about being Diana Ross, much to my teacher’s displeasure!

I now have an image of Diana Ross in her heyday, playing Florence Nightingale in a musical written by Andrew Lloyd Webber! 😂

I’d like to be Joanna Lumley. She gets the best parts and Travelogues and wears fab clothes.

Anyone pretty, slim and half my age

Me too.

I couldn’t think of anyone. Taylor Swift, maybe, young, talented and adored. But I’d be taking early retirement soon from the endless touring, and I wouldn’t want the social media pressure the young ‘uns get these days. Maybe I’ll just do me again, but tweak one or two things with the benefit of hindsight. smile

Anyone really, anyone who doesn't have all the aches and pains I woke up with this morning.

I would like to be a custom built person who I don't think ever existed. A woman who was brilliant at art, ballet dancing, playing the violin, writing, swimming, driving, riding a horse, sewing, cooking and knitting. I would also like to be taller, thinner, with longer legs and thick shiny long black hair. Oh and much younger of course.

Failing that I would like to be Clive Myrie but only for a short while not for ever.

😂

I think I'd like to be Dolly Parton. What a life she's had, and by her own efforts she's helped loads of others too.
And she can sing and write great songs.

I’d like to be me but 40 years younger.

Yes, and knowing what we do now, of course!

Goldieoldie15 Tue 13-Jan-26 09:59:53

Grace Kelly ! Just so very beautiful and elegant in every way. Always wanted to be like her.

LadyGracie Tue 13-Jan-26 09:33:13

I’d like to live my life again, making a few tweaks and being more confident, I’ve had a mainly happy and contented life. I’d marry the same man, have the same children but take up opportunities missed.

TheWeirdoAgain60 Tue 13-Jan-26 09:28:07

I was going to be Cheryl Ladd, as she's still drop-dead gorgeous, but there's someone even more gorgeous.

I'm going to be..... Lord Larry, the Downing Street cat!

barmcake Tue 13-Jan-26 07:57:47

I would like to come back as someone like Nichola Peltz.
Remaining an adult baby with parents who pay for everything and be shielded from all the normal worries of just living would be wonderful.

I'd like to be me again at about 35years old but only if I could know what I now know!!!

Purplepixie Mon 12-Jan-26 21:15:18

Yeah! Me again and change ALL of my life, hopefully for the better!

WithNobsOnIt Mon 12-Jan-26 21:11:41

Me again but as a young teenager.

I thought I’d say something like Trump or Putin so I could put right all the things etc, etc. But then I realised that this is a serious hypothetical issue so there’s no doubt whatsoever. I’d be Jessica Fletcher.

Now you’re talking! What’s more, you having humming the theme tune, dum dum dum dum da grin

ferry23 Mon 12-Jan-26 20:43:32

There's more than one Amal Clooney wannabees.

Fancy that - Gransnetters with an overwhelming desire to be a successful human rights lawyer 🙄🙄😅😅
