I think it's just a break down of how much of the amount you paid is VAT, as what was included in the cost on bottle of alcohol. Nothing on foodstuffs.
In case it's needed for book keeping purposes, a VAT receipt.

Has Aldi suddenly started to add VAT to the advertised shelf price at the checkout? I thought this was illegal in the UK.

My friends who regularly buy alcohol at our local Aldi say they always pay the shelf price exactly as in other supermarkets. I believe 20% is the current rate of VAT on alcohol.

We buy alcohol in Aldi. Never paid any more than the shelf price.
