Donald Adolf Hitler Trump

At least Starmer did stand up and tell him that he cannot take over another country. But really , why isnt every single country gathering together to inform him in no uncertain terms that his threats are totally unacceptable and that he will not be allowed to behave in this way?.

Or perhaps Trump would understand it a bit better if everyone announced that they were going to claim the USA. Of course , in fact Britain could say that they are going to reclaim it ! Sauce for the goose, sauce for the gander. Trump seems to think, in the same way as Hitler, that might is right, that he can just lay claim to another country for everyone to allow him to continue.
Well Donald,
even if you choose not to look at it, we know what such attitudes lead to, and we do not have short memories. Whilst I know it is not easy to be sure where everything comes from , at least we could all do our best, not to buy anything from america, and if we could get everyone in all the countries he is planning to charge to do the same, perhaps if americans were hit in their pockets , they might look at what is happening. If they are not interested in justice and fairness, then perhaps being hit in their own pockets might get them to look at where Trump is taking them.

This is a serious situation and needs to be handled carefully while carrying on saying No! to his demands.
We do need to stand firm and defend international law from Trump but diplomatically and keep the high ground.
Trump is sinking to new depths over Greenland.

The bottom line is that lunatic is: A sadist / A pedaphile / A Narcissist / A psychopath / Belongs in a strait jacket / Crueler than cruel ..

Hiring a team of professional mercenaries would be a wise selection of how to get rid of these maniacs.

I would suggest that the timing of recent threats from Mr Trump is relevant - is anyone talking about the files regarding activities on the island belonging to the late Mr Epstein - no?; result!
Also, if his country is in a "war" situation, the POTUS will be able to cancel the mid term elections, thus avoiding any potential embarrassing defeats for the Republican party.

Whitzend I believe The orange ones father did come from Europe not sure if it was Germany or Eastern Europe and I did read that his grandfather built the Trump empire ion brothels and prostitution

Juicywords

The Norway letter saying he no longer has an obligation to think purely of peace as their country failed to give him the Nobel Peace prize, shows yet again what a dangerous narcissist he is. Truly shocking.

Too true. His spoilt baby attitude is a danger to the world.

What about the mad message to Norway?

I’m
Not aware of this??

I posted the whole message earlier today on the Greenland thread on News & Politics.

There's nothing at all diplomatic about it grin

Smileless2012 Mon 19-Jan-26 14:16:16

America doesn't need to own Greenland to increase security against China and Russia, that's just an excuse.

That’s one explanation Cossy. In which case it’s more like declaring war. Strategic defence then serves a double purpose.

Harris27 Mon 19-Jan-26 14:07:01

He’s definitely a dictator. Glad starmer is speaking up very worrying though.

AuntieE Mon 19-Jan-26 14:06:30

Madeleine, I am curious. What makes you say that other countries are not saying the same?

The EU has made it clear, collectively, Germany, Denmark, Greenland, Norway, Finland, The Netherlands likewise.

Maremia Mon 19-Jan-26 14:03:25

It's worth looking up Cossy, just so that you get your own impression.

I don’t really understand why Trump wishes to take over Greenland. Yes I appreciate its strategic importance but US have based troops and even nuclear defences there in the past without taking over. Why aren’t they seeking to negotiate with NATO, Greenland and Denmark to increase the defences without sovereignty?

I would suggest it has far more the Greenland itself, ie minerals and oil.

Diplomacy and appeasement, a very fine line between them.
Good luck Starmer, and us, at Davos.

Starmer has said today that we need to use "calm discussion between allies". This is the way to go, even if it takes longer than some headline grabbing "politicians" have other ideas.

Like any, I’d love to see Starmer flip Trump off but imo diplomacy and “calm discussion amongst allies “ is needed now, more than ever.

Boycotting the World Cup, stopping the King’s visit as attractive as the flip off approach to my levels of incredulity and anger where Trump is concerned. I don’t see either as likely to improve the Orange one’s get a deal, bullying approach. We up the ante, he will do it More Bigjy

I agree in principle with "calm discussion amongst allies" but is that even a remote possibility when the ally is Trump? He is an ill, deranged individual who escalates day by day. I really don't see diplomacy working, unless someone in his own camp can stand up to him and bring some control back.

Indeed, but what is the solution? We either sit it out or we do something, either choice is quite unpalatable

If he carries out his tariff threat and those affected reciprocate, then the American people will be hit financially just like everyone else.

We and his other potential targets need to be strong and stand together against the orange tyrant.

Yes! He’s a lunatic orange tyrant!

It is now patently obvious that this dreadful man - trump - is quite insane.

It has always been patently obvious to me...

That incredible letter to Norway. Surely, that in itself, by itself should be enough to get him committed. Cannot discuss 'diplomacy' with someone who is insane.
At present he just seems to be Putin's lapdog. Very scarey

livelylady Mon 19-Jan-26 13:40:47

Online it's been suggested that Europe and UK could boycott the football World Cup this year. Good idea?

Aveline Mon 19-Jan-26 13:33:07

His Scottish ancestors must be spinning in their graves. What a blight on humanity he is.
