fgt there will be days like this, and I do feel for you. It’s awful to realise you won’t see him again and feel him cuddling you. Thinking of you, it’s hard, but the love and support of your family and friends will help you.

Just a couple of short showers this afternoon, otherwise a sunny day. I changed the bedclothes, will wash them in the morning on half price electricity. I dithered about what to do next, the vacuum cleaner battery need charging, so I put that on the charger. Then bit the bullet and cut the grass in the back garden. I know my friend would do it with his petrol mower, but it would be when he has time. Meanwhile it was getting longer, so I did it. I felt very pleased with myself afterwards and it certainly looks better.
I’ll vacuum upstairs tomorrow! The DDs may come over tomorrow with the 11 year old and the 3 year old, while the two 7 year olds are at Kung fu grading tests. Which joker decided to stage the gradings on Mother’s Day! The 7 year olds have their test at 12.30.

Although I had a lovely morning with L’il Miss I’ve been so tearful this afternoon. Suddenly the loss of Himself in my life has hit me hard. Grief has knocked me sideways this past couple of hours. It’s the enormity of knowing he’s gone and I can never again have his arm around me.

I am grateful for all I had of him and I will cling to all the happy memories we shared but right now I just miss him and can’t seem to stop crying and here I go again.

My life will never be the same again. x

Sunny but cold, frost this morning. We went for a quick walk, busy, I was wary of scooters and dogs on long leads!
A good game wasn’t it Nannytopsy MrJ was pleased with the result - commiserations to the Scots (soop).
I think the hamper is for tomorrow brook there will be a txt if we win.
Not sure what dinner is yet, possibly pasta, I’ll have to ask chef!

Good evening all, it’s been a beautiful day here and we had a lovely walk around the dock. We saw these beautiful narcissi by the woodland path. Homemade fish and chips for tea. Have a lovely evening TOYA x

It has been a lovely sunny day with only an occasional shower. I have been for breakfast with my friend and had a good time. Then home to clean the bathroom, strip the bed and wash the whites. Then I tidied the kitchen. I've just had a tesco delivery from a lovely young man, so the fridge and cupboards are full once more. I had a nap earlier too. Shortly I'll dust and hoover. Dinner later will be pie, chips and beans. So a very ordinary day but enjoyable. Tomorrow I'm going to dds for afternoon tea for Mother's Day. Enjoy your day all

It’s a lovely day here, apart from a quick hail storm. We’ve done some gardening and cut the grass, DH has mended the bolt on the gate and repotted his insectivorous plants.
Now watching rugby while looking at the ironing. It’s sitting there looking back.

Good morning all from a bright sunny morning in Stockport.
Re the flowers for Mothering Sunday, I told my family very firmly I neither want or need a gift, I have more than enough of most things.
However yesterday my friend across the road rang to say she needed to go to Boots , did I want to go?
I just jumped at the idea of getting out and we also popped into the very large Tesco which is next door.
I saw all the tulips, a flower I love and bought two bunches for myself.
They cost £6 or £5 with a Clubcard which I do not have.
They are beautiful and compared to the 10’s of £’s people are paying I am thrilled.
It really is exploitation of families.

FGT... You've made me think. I've got various bits and bobs that I could sell. That's a nice little windfall for you and lovely that you have a little part of Himself wth you always.
The weather has been dire here...even heavy snow briefly up on the Blackdown Hills nearby. I knew it was a mistake to buy the sweet peas last weekend. I went to pop them into the greenhouse yesterday and discovered that 2 of the panels and the window has been blown out by Thursday's gales. I don't hold up much hope for the geraniums that I've been over wintering. In fairness we had decided to order a new one but had hoped that the old one would hang on until it warmed up a bit. Hey Ho.

I'll wish you all Happy Mother's Day now as my DF arrived yesterday and I have no idea what we will be doing tomorrow.
I don't struggle with Mother's Day any more. My different approach to situation now means I can pray that they are all happy, well and safe and that is enough. They are all Mums themselves now and I will thinking of them all tomorrow and hoping that they make memories to last.

We’re on a weekend break to center parcs with son, dil,and granddaughter. Hopefully will have some dry weather. Some activities booked for dgd. We were here last year when she was 7 months old now she’s running around,singing and dancing. What a difference a year makes. Hopefully we will be able to make this an annual event.

‘Evening All’

Well, I went to the jewellers today yo cash in some gold (didn’t even look much to me) 2 bracelets and 3 pairs of earrings that I never wore. Weighed and got paid £800! Prices for gold are very good apparently right now so if you’ve got any bits and bobs you no longer care about ladies, do give some thought to cashing them in.

I had Himself’s wedding ring resized to fit my right hand and a tricky clasp changed on a lovely bracelet my darling late mum left me ~ but even for allowing for paying that, I still came home with just north of £700. Happy me.

It’s been very stormy here. We did get out for a walk but haven’t done much else. Sleep well dear friends TOYA ♥️

It’s been cold, wet and windy here and we woke up to snow this morning- winter has definitely returned 🥶
A busy day with classes at the gym and then a walk into town - the River Ness is high and very fast flowing today. I got the bus home and flopped on the sofa where I’ll stay for most of the evening in front of the fire

We have had a pretty good day, quite bright but with a cold wind. I have cleared some strawberry plants which had swamped the rhubarb and planted a new crown. Who knew strawberries were such thugs?😁

Redcar, not yet. I did a bit on the school library this morning and intended going to the showroom after that. However the weather has been horrible again, torrential rain and wind, so I left it.

I’ve been thinking about the Soops too. I was sorting the spare room out today ready for our granddaughter who is coming to stay. On the wall is the lovely painting which Soop did of Milo.

It’s very quiet in the kitchen today. Yesterday I met a friend for coffee and we had a good catch up. When I got home there was a large envelope of paperwork relating to my late godmother’s estate. I sorted it out and posted it back to the solicitor, feeling quite virtuous. Today I have collected my new glasses, walked into the shopping centre and bought some new jeans and some towels. Haven’t done much this afternoon but really need to sort out photos.
My neighbour cut the grass at the front of our houses yesterday, it looks nice and tidy now. Shame about the back garden!
