Several of us on here have been through the same difficult time so we know all about it.
I wish them well.
Having said that it is nice to have a warm welcoming kitchen to pop into, Thankyou to all who have provided goodies, they are appreciated.

I know that fgt used to post on here regularly. I also know she is having a very tough time.
Does anyone have any recent news, and how things are?

grannmarie it still doesn’t feel right to just write my name on cards and gifts, although I’ve been on my own for five years. I sympathise!
My car mechanic rang this afternoon to say my elderly Fiesta seems to have “lost it’s get up and go”. (A bit like its owner really!). He thinks he can sort the problem out, no doubt a hefty bill, but worth it.

Thank you, GrannyGravy, it's wonderful to see the continuity of Soop's special Kitchen. I hope you're feeling more like yourself these days.

I've brought lots of tulips and daffodils for the tables and window ledges, plus cheese board. Cosy throws and cushions for the Quiet Corner, where all are welcome to rest and recharge batteries, especially on difficult days.🥰

Today has been brighter and milder, perhaps spring is finally on its way? Hoping our friends in the south have passed the worst of the flooding.🤞

I've had a busy day. I took my friend to Mass and the Coffee Morning, then I had my dental checkup, followed by my cut and colour at the hairdressers. Always feel better after that! The ladies in the salon are really friendly, always providing tea and biscuits while the colour is 'cooking'.

Tomorrow I have my Strength and Balance class in the morning, then massage at GP surgery in the afternoon. After that I must bag the birthday gifts and write all the cards. I still find it hard writing only my name on the cards, Mum/ Gran instead of Mum and Dad/ Gran and Papa. I know that many of our dear kitchen friends understand this. ♥️

DH has kindly shared his cold with me so I ave been hiding in the quiet corner.

Lovely Kitchen, thank you. I’ve brought pots of snowdrops and bags of doughnuts for everyone - including you, Boheminan!

Dh had a specialist’s appointment today. As he’s not been at all well we were very worried but the news wasn’t as bad as we’d feared. Better still, he can have a treatment (one session of radiotherapy) that hopefully will restore him to relatively good health for the time being.

I hope Soop and MrSoop are managing ok and that other Kitchen folk with health and family concerns find some peace.
