Good morning, needless to say it’s wet here in south Glos, tedious to say the least.
I started my acrylics painting at last yesterday, it’s several years since I’ve used them and very different to watercolours. I had some fun and I’ll do more today.
I’m down to the last three rounds of my blanket, I hope to finish it by tomorrow evening! Then it can go on my bed.
I have a virus shawl pattern to try next, I cannot just sit and not be knitting or crocheting.
I had a lovely video chat with DS and the boys yesterday afternoon, catching up with their busy lives. They’re off skiing at half term, I’m sure they’ll have a wonderful time.I’m looking forward to seeing the photos and hearing all about it.
The usual dogs walks etc today, there’s a chicken to roast for dinner and nothing else planned.
Take care everyone 🌹

Morning Mick, morning All. Another wet, gloomy day forecast for our corner of Somerset. It’s all getting a bit much!

More or less caught up yesterday, that feels better. Just another couple of hours, tomorrow I think, which needs to include a call to the Apple folk as I’m stuck on a technicality which of course will be simple for those who understand.

When a dry patch appears (there must surely be one!) we’ll head for our little river for a stroll and a check on its safety. A general tidy is badly needed, some shredding to do and I’ll be happy to face the week ahead. Mr C is ready for his next jigsaw, not my thing but he loves them. One will be retrieved from the loft where half a dozen new ones await his attention. It’s all pretty mundane, just life really.

Best wishes to all, have the best day you can.

Good morning from a damp looking Torbay following overnight rain.

DH had a good day out yesterday when he finally remembered his destination! It was a model railway shop in Cardiff but for some reason he decided to alight from the train at Newport then wondered why he couldn’t find the street on which it was located!

I enjoyed a relaxing day pottering at home which is a rare event!

A blessed Sunday to you all! 🦩💐✝️🥰🦩

Good morning from a tranquil, rainy Cornwall where it's very quiet as neither the buses nor the delivery trucks pass by early on a Sunday.

I hand-sewed all day yesterday while watching past episodes of Lego Masters Australia. The Boro jacket is finally complete, albeit it tacked together in case it needs adapting. My friend will be chuffed with it, I know.

Last evening my youngest son and I went to a completely packed Wetherspoons, full of everyone under my sun - taxi drivers, bus drivers, school friends, students and the rest. Afterwards we walked through town where we saw the Street Pastors at work, sweeping up glass. This morning I received their usual Whatsapp update of the night's activities and they said there were many grateful people out there, a contrast to last Saturday night which had been dramatic with much alcohol and drug abuse. I don't see or hear any of this from my home though it's only metres away.

Today I have no plans - lovely - except to meet my other son at a modern church on a nearby wharf for their monthly worship evening.

Good Morning everyone from a dark and wet south coast. Rain is mentioned in the forecast for today and all the rest of the week.

I had to make myself waken up from an unpleasant dream earlier than normal, where I couldn't remember where my car was parked so got on a bus which turned out to be going the wrong direction entirely. Panic stations ensued in the dream and it took a while to calm and shake myself properly awake. Why do we get these sort of dreams?

Laundry is on the agenda for this morning with a basket full of cycling apparel. Also need to sort out more drawers in my bedroom, if I have the energy. It will be a scratch lunch today but there are choices in the fridge and freezer.

We have a lovely patch of yellow crocus in full bloom in the front garden and the daffodils are trying to catch up. Such a joyous patch of colour lifts the heart. Spring is ready to leap into full production very shortly.

Kind thoughts of all carrying a burden and hopes for a calm and peaceful day for us all

Good morning from s somerset, a showery day again today

Yesterday came and went and the buns turned out lovely. I used my dough mixer and 00 flour so the dough needed a good kneading. It was fascinating to watch how the gluten developed, nice and smooth and no broken strands, the powerful mixer has a roller, not a hook. I had some whole candied peel and used that too, there is something zen about chopping candied peel on a wooden board. The buns were warm when evri arrived and the driver went away with a warm bun in his hand and a smile on his face, said I had made his day

My plants did not arrive, seems as though it will be today or tomorrow and I will have to go to the allotment in the rain, they need to get their feet into the ground asap

I need to find good space for my kitchen linens, t towels and the like. My utility room is small so I might do a shuffle in there today. I bought new linens so they will need a wash first and I will tumble them. A little job for today. I won`t be using j cloths any more, I am turning back the clock where I can

The top half of my pull-out larder has become messy so I think I will also deal with that today

There has been a spurt of growth in my garden, I have a confined area and the English bluebells are all up, same with the beds of crocus, hyacinths, tulips, narcissi and so on. It is the extra light and the days with temperature over 6 degrees, even my figs have green buds appearing. Exciting

Have a good day

Good morning from Malta where it seems we have a wet, windy day ahead with a high of 14°C.

Had a lovely outing with DD3 and the boys yesterday. We took them to a really good indoor play place which they had to themselves plus one other little girl.

They had their lunch and then DD3 dropped me home at 2pm. However, a sad little voice from the back of the car sad ‘I want to go to Nana’s house’, so DGS1 came home with me and we spent a lovely afternoon together until he was picked up at 6pm.

I think he enjoys the peace and quiet as his brother can be a bit of a handful when he’s having ‘strong feelings’!😅

I woke at 3am today, annoying as there’s no tennis to watch until the men’s final at 9.30am. I am rooting for Alcaraz and will not be at all happy if he loses.

Hoping you all have a good Sunday. Thoughts always with our mountaineers.🤗

🐇🐇🐇🐇 white rabbits.
Good morning from Bristol. Not looked out properly, but feels less chilly. Probably damp, if not wet…
The zapper for a wall mounted radiant heater in church, the only heater atm, went awol. Mattie to the rescue - it was right at the back of the usual shelf. I stood on a little step and was able to reach it; the others are too short in stature.
I had quite a busy day, making delicious French onion soup for lunch, and for the next week, making lemon/lime marmalade and more sewing.
The quilts are joined square by square into long strips which are then joined up to form the whole quilt. I’ve just got to join the strips now, and finally do the edging.
I have been enjoying a Walter Presents Danish programme set in 1930s and probably through WWII. It is amusing and politically interesting, I have also discovered that there are at least 10 series. Keep me quiet for a long time! The next one I hope will be in Spanish.
Not much today other than church, more sewing, possibly Spanish homework.
May everyone have a blessed Sunday, free from the vicissitudes of life.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
