This ghastly person and his gang seem to be everywhere in the news.
It's utterly depressing.

I think you are wrong David49. I would lay a pound to a penny that there is evidence, and probably photographs, of Andrew in flagrente with an underage girl. I think the King knows that is a very likely scenario.

I do not blame Andrew for refusing to appear in court in America. Their justice system is different from ours, and it seems as though a person is presumed guilty unless they can prove their innocence, Mike Lynch, British business man, was summoned to appear in America and immediately placed under house arrest for two years until he was able to prove his innocence. (He was the man who drowned with five others when his yacht the Bayesian capsized). I would very much like to see Mandelson in gaol, but not in America, paraded handcuffed and manacled in prison clothes.

Sodapop, I agree with your post. There comes a time, when the chips are really down, when you think, my brother , right or wrong, and you stand by them. Doesn't mean you approve or condone their behaviour or forgive them for what they have done.

Check out the emails, if you believe that the connection to Epstein is fabricated. Especially the ones sent after Epstein's first conviction for sex offences.
His guilt was in the public domain, but still the 'friendship' endured, and was lied about.

a man with his trousers on with a fully clothed woman being photographed enjoying depraved sexual adventures the mind boggles doesn't it Annie.

Andrew doesn't look spaced out to me and we can't see the face of the woman on the floor so what makes you think she is Basgetti.

Why shouldn't Charles financially support his brother if he wants too?

Trial by media again.

Does to me 🤷‍♀️

Supporting his brother shows poor judgement.

I’d much rather trial in court. Hopefully that will happen.

Or are you seriously suggesting that AMW did no wrong? In which case why did his Mother stump up £12 million to pay off his accuser. If you were innocent of such accusations, wouldn’t you want your day in court?

The compensation was paid to stop court action and end the bad publicity, it failed to do that.

As others have said there is no evidence that Andrew has broken any law
The latest revelation with him fully clothed kneeling over a woman fully clothed, they were probably fooling around Ive done the same in party games.

What I’m sick of is the British people who seem to be targeted. They are revolting 🤮 it is true but I am absolutely certain most of these people involved with Epstein were actually high profile Americans. Where’s the list of those people ?

I posted the current list on this thread yesterday. If you look at the US news channels, the same is happening with their high profile figures. Bill Gates is on the rocks today.

Smileless2012 Wed 04-Feb-26 12:55:26

Why was his accuser prepared to be paid off Basgetti? Why didn't she want her day in court if she was telling the truth? I would have done, wouldn't you?

I have no idea if Andrew is innocent because there has yet to be any evidence to say that he's guilty and here in the UK, the burden of proof is on the prosecution to prove guilt, not for the defence to prove innocence.

It may be poor judgement for Charles to financially support his brother, but that's his judgement to make.

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and his ex wife are a truly sordid pair and have done some awful things in the past. However I do think that Andrew is being scapegoated because of his very public profile and hounding a man in this way is not the way to deal with this. Due process of law should be allowed to punish him not trial by media.
Not an opinion shared by many on here I assume.
King Charles is doing what he feels is best for his brother and the country, must be a dreadful dilemma for him.

I didn’t see the woman’s face.

I agree Smileless and I couldn’t leave a sibling without any support

Regardless of what they may have done?

My older brother abused my mother and me. Wouldn’t spit on him if he were on fire.

Fallingstar a man with his trousers on with a fully clothed woman being photographed enjoying a depraved sexual adventures !

They both look spaced out.

What would be your explanation for a Prince of the Realm adopting that pose? Impromptu first aid course?…. 😳

Whitewavemark2 Wed 04-Feb-26 12:23:07

I’m also waiting for a full investigation into Johnson’s antics particularly his propensity to going abroad for boozy parties given by the KGB and subsequently allowing one of them to sit in the lords.

It is exactly the same only with a different crowd of people, although I think Epstein had Russian contacts.

Trump is protecting them because he’s up to his neck in it. I’m very glad that in the meantime at least Mandelson and hopefully AMW and his awful ex will be investigated.

Peter Jukes (Byline Times) has a thread about Epstein's contact with Putin.

bsky.app/profile/peterjukes.bsky.social/post/3mdyjf5kxlc2z

Very interesting! I've always thought Epstein's operation was about more than blackmailing rich people for their cash. On the face of it, Epstein had plenty of money and not a lot of evidence about where it came from. Trump certainly knew about Epstein's penchant for young girls and is on record commenting about it. There is still a lot more to come out, isn't there?

Basgetti Wed 04-Feb-26 12:09:55

I don’t think it’s the right thing to do at all! Why on earth should anyone support that waste of space and his awful ex-wife?

I don’t understand your point about the victims? Of course they should not be forgotten. If anyone in this sordid mess should be looked after, it’s them.
Really hoping the Met’s investigation into Mandelson blows this whole can of worms open and everyone who thinks they’re untouchable faces justice, at last.

ronib Wed 04-Feb-26 12:05:55

Well King Charles isn’t counting his pennies…. He can well afford to look after his brother. It’s the right thing to do and at the same time … don’t forget the victims seems to be the mantra !!

I’d much rather the King paid for Andrew from his vast fortune than the British taxpayer!!

I’d rather no-one did!

Fallingstar Wed 04-Feb-26 11:59:37

Am still thinking about the cameras, several sensible reasons given, but seeing as Epstein and his clients were presumably open to all kinds of sexual experimentation and the women hardly considered as anything other than resources for them to use, it could be that they liked to see their sexual adventures afterwards in order to add another layer of depravity and presumably videos could have been made for this very reason.
