What is this posters obsession with Wetherspoons? hmm

It's a harmless thread.

We'll be in our local Spoons on Saturday night as usual. We love it. There is only one TV on which they usually show BBC News channel with no sound but subtitles.

Which proves my point that not every one goes into Wetherspoons to watch sport,I am just giving a heads up to those who want to enjoy Spoons this Saturday is a no go place.

We had a Valentines meal at Spoons with my daughter and her partner a few years ago. It was excellent. We had a steak meal, red desserts and a glass of pink bubbly and the table was decorated with red hearts etc. it was just £20 a couple!

AFAIK They never have the volume on when there is sports on their screens anyway.

Any eating place that requires you to sit at a table should be avoided on any Valentines day.

I have only been in a “Spoons” to use the loo, it was rammed!
I think it’s brilliant that they are bucking the trend and getting bums on seats.

I’m know a lot of retirees enjoy their value breakfasts and younger people benefit from a cheap pint.

We are big RU fans but will light a fire and watch at home.

There will be a lovely atmosphere at our Wetherspoons, with lots of families plus a log fire blazing. The TV is muted with subtitles.

International rugby from 1pm all afternoon,
then football from half past five.
