Good morning from a cold bright Cambridgeshire. Yesterday it rained all day but today is looking better!

Happy Valentine’s Day to all💖 DH is off bowling and I am planning to go to DD2 to do a bit of housework for her as she is away for the weekend. The little ones are with their father over half term and she will do extra work shifts next week so I wanted to help her.

Hoping everyone has a good day

Good morning from a dry N. Bucks but it is cold with a frost on the cars.
The results of my Nephews postmortem were inconclusive so more time to wait before we get some idea of the reason for his death.
Today I have an appointment with an optometrist following a diabetic eye check last week. So, off to town and then back to do a local food shop.
This afternoon we will be prepping for a family birthday meal.
Thinking of our poorlies and wishing all a good day.

Good morning from a very frosty Black Country. At least there is a bright blue sky.

I will probably have to de-ice the car as I have to leave around 10.30 to go to DD's and be with the teenage granddaughters until Tuesday. DD and SIL are off to Vienna for a long weekend, taking the opportunity of DD having a week off due to it being half term. Will need to get DGD2 to her job at a pub for midday, which is 2 miles from home down an winding country lane. Then pick her up at 6pm.

So we had our Valentines meal last night, Comfit duck.

My passport expires early next year Ashcombe so must remember to keep an eye on that.

Wishing you all the best day possible.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.
Happy Valentine's Day 💘

It's minus 3 and I'm about to drive north to a pottery weekend.

Oh your poor DGD Marzipan. I'm glad the staff brought her home.

The shop/café was busy yesterday and a man asked me if I was DD's mum. Then he introduced himself. They were friends 20 years ago and I'd not seen him since.
We had a quick catch up over lunch.
He said I'd not changed which worried me 😂

I hope you all have a great weekend.
Love to all those struggling with health or other worries xxx

Good Morning everyone from a chilly south coast. 3 degrees on my garden thermometer but we are promised sunshine and no rain, which will be welcome.

WI was busy yesterday with the expected influx of possible transferees from the nearby WI, which is probably going to close. It does change the dynamic with so many new faces and our President is anxious about that. We need to be welcoming of course but not at the cost of losing our special ambience. She is talking of having a waiting list.

DH has a morning ride with his cycling club so I shall have a reflective morning with some decisions to make. Including what to make for his lunch!

Special thoughts of our struggling GNs and hoping they find some calmness and peace.

Good morning, it’s a slightly frosty start here in south Glos, chilly but a promise of sunshine.
I had a weird dream last night about staying in Windsor castle and being worried about being safe! Utterly ridiculous and very odd because it seemed to be made of LEGO 😁
I have a 5 hour zoom art session today, I need to walk tiddler early then get everything ready. I’m looking forward to it.
My virus shawl isn’t getting very far, I had to unravel 8 rows because of a careless mistake 😵‍💫, I’ll do more later now I’ve redone that section of the pattern.
DH went to his sister’s for lunch yesterday while I went to art group. He returned just before 7pm….
Art group was diminished yesterday, only four of us but we enjoyed it.
I hope you all have a good weekend 🌹

Good morning from a brightening northwest coast. It will be a heavy post today, a heavy burden for the postman💕😁
I enjoyed yesterday, although I still have the pain in the neck. Took jumble to the charity shop and stayed in town for lunch and a potter round. Bought a black polka dot dress I don’t need.

DD is driving up from the south today. She enjoys driving, unlike yours truly, and is a frequent visitor. She’s celebrating her old school friend’s birthday and will join me and DS for a meeting with our new financial advisor on Monday.
Before she arrives, I’ll work on some new music I need to prepare for next week.

The work on the roof has finished, it didn’t take long, but a large bill and some scaffolding to come down.
Thoughts to all poorlies🌺

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

I had a difficult and disturbed night with a lot of coughing.

It is Valentine’s Day. I manage to find a card in my card stash for OH. It’s a good thing we have a Waitrose ready meal for Valentine’s as I’m not really up to cooking. I bought us a box of chocolates too.

Have good day.

Good morning from a dark, dry, calm Cornwall.

My Erigeron (Spanish daisies), which I admire because they thrive on nothing and grow out of every crack here - as abundant as gulls - and the monster Echium which also grow out of nowhere are triffiding across my patio steps . And my English bluebells are popping up.

Yesterday I was at my son's house with my grandson when a knock on the door revealed the school's head teacher with my granddaughter who had taken the full force of a hockey ball on her mouth and was weeping. 'I didn't want her to walk home on her own,' she said. It's only a two-minute walk and it wasn't a big wound and they could have rung and asked me to collect her, but I so appreciate the extra care the teachers take. A cuddle and the latest edition of Pony magazine worked wonders.

Home by bus to a myriad of lights twinkling in the town centre rain. Lovely.

Today I'm off to the opticians to order some more specs, then my son and I are meeting at Café Nero (sorry Wetherspoons 😁). We like the seats overlooking the main street and enjoy people-watching.

Good morning mick and all, no idea what the weather is like, still in bed.

Local shops first thing, then some pottering until The Imp is dropped off, he is sleeping here as his brother is having his friends over for a sleepover before his go carting party tomorrow.

Thinking of our friends with troubles 🙋‍♀️

Good morning from Malta where the weather is very hazy due to Saharan sand yet again. It makes everywhere so dirty and also affects the air quality which is no good for folk with breathing problems. The high is 19°C.

It’s Carnival weekend and I’m sorry for all the enthusiasts who spend a whole year creating their huge floats, as this weather really spoils it for them.

Yesterday’s wind was fierce again but I managed not to blow away when I went for my hair. Did a quick trip to Lidl which wasn’t busy for a change so it didn’t take long.

Back in time for the boys who were both asleep when DD3 dropped them off so I had DD1 to cuddle until he woke up. DD2 slept on the sofa beside us and didn’t want to wake up. They were tired after their Carnival party at school.

DS and his girlfriend arrived to collect Winston so the house feels empty without them now. They are moving to Bulgaria next month, that will be three out of four of my offspring living abroad. I’m ok with it, glad they can spread their wings even if I miss them like crazy.

I’m not sure what I will do with the day. A bit of cleaning I expect.

Wishing you all a happy weekend.🤗

Good morning from a dry and peaceful Torbay.

Happy Valentine's Day! 💕

We will also be attending the church coffee morning - ours are monthly and are well supported by the church members and local community. There are a few stalls and a raffle which raise much needed funds.

Yesterday, I completed my passport renewal online and posted my old passport. I expect you know that we now need to have at least six months left on our passports or risk being refused entry to overseas countries.

I hope everyone has a good weekend especially those in hospital or unwell at home. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning from a still and quiet Kent. No snow forecast at the moment.

Yesterday I went for a very pleasant dog walk. Saw the squirrel family in their usual place scrambling through the trees. One had stopped to eat a nut, quite unfazed by us stopping to watch.

Enjoyed watching the Olympics yesterday, with Matt Weston getting gold in the skeleton.

Today, helping at church coffee morning then settle down to an afternoon of watching sport on the telly, reading and knitting.

May everyone enjoy their day.

Good morning from Bristol. I haven’t looked out but the rain was light and occasional yesterday.
Today, we are due to be drier, sunny and colder, which i# why my wonderfully efficient (not) storage heaters are cold or lukewarm. I’ll be cold indoors today.
A good Spanish class yesterday, with some interesting videos to watch and talk about.
The afternoon was quiet, with some Olympics, sewing, knitting, reading…
Coffee in church then repeat afternoon.
💐 to all with problems, remembering fgt in particular.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
