It's a very sweet photo.

But wrong message.

Looking again, has she just been to her ballet class? It looks like a leotard and skirt affair to me. Maybe she has just let her down from a perfect ballerina bun?

I think it was a tribute to our late Queen - nothing Megan does is ever right 😫

MarieElla Sun 15-Feb-26 11:57:28

Using the Queen's petname was misjudged (as most of their decisions to date) They thought it would secure their relevance as Royals (in exile)...the opposite occurred.
They are very entertaining!

Ooo I've just had a look.
Well, yes, the hair is a bit unkempt, but I guess she's running around in the garden. I'm more amazed that the bottom of her tights are pristine pink and not stained after running across the lush green grass!?

Graceless

I see using that name was a compliment to the late Queen.

I don’t think the late queen was too amused. It was Prince Philip’s pet name for her.

It was the name she called herself and her parents' name for her.

Paddyann...you need to edit your post before publishing.

Reaching new lows “ladies” criticising a child!
Who,d of thought granny,s had never seen wee girls with i tidy hair,
But then who,d have thought ANY adult woman enjoyed being total b..ches?
Look no further gransnet might have found a whole colony of them!

😁

Perhaps she does have hysterics at the thought of having her hair cut or brushed, who knows. She's four so quite possible.

But it's not criticising the child to say her hair needs a good cut and brush.
It's her daft parents who think a Valentine's picture should be of a little girl and her Daddy rather than the parents themselves.

Father/daughter love is something different.

MarieElla Sun 15-Feb-26 11:51:04

Meghan and Harry are becoming increasingly desperate for recognition... they are aware that they are becoming irrelevant.
The photo is lovely but unfortunately photoshopped as Lili's hand looks odd holding the balloons...the same balloons they used last week to try and flog their As Ever tat for Valentines day...

The name was a pet name for HM Queen, used by family only because, as a child she could not pronounce Elizabeth.
By all accounts she was not best pleased.

Using Elizabeth as a middle name might have been complimentary but not Lilibet.

Yes, UTTB, her hair needs a good cut, looks like split ends.

Is it me, or has Valentine's Day got nothing to do with father/daughter relationships?
Completely the wrong message.

Another photograph yesterday from Meghan to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
It is Harry with his daughter.
After seeing it and others published recently do you other Grans just wish you could get a decent brush and give her hair a really good brush?
Much is made of its glorious colour but oh dear it looks like rats tails to me.

Ah, not just me then! I've thought that in all of the very few photos I've seen of her.

I think the same about John Torode's wife, Lisa Faulkner.

One of my granddaughters would never have her hair brushed at that age. She looked like a witch! She’s 17 now and has beautiful hair.
I thought Megan and Harry didn’t want publicity? I still like Harry.

I actually don’t believe they ever use ‘Lillibet’, and the only place I ever see it is in the British media! They call her Lilli.
The cynical bit of me thinks they chose Lilli, then decided to say it was short for Lillibet to keep themselves relevant to royalty.

I agree with your post @ 11.22 Oreo.

Witzend

TBH I’m still appalled that they used our former Queen’s childhood pet name for their daughter. After all their slagging off of the RF, how brazen can you get?

It was done to annoy is my feeling about it, and to emphasise the royal connection, even tho they claimed that they just wanted to be ordinary lil’ people.

I didn’t see this pic but the few I have seen I thought the same as you Usedtobeblonde
