I've just discovered that Marks and Spencer off 10% off full priced items to anyone over 60. This applies to clothing and homewares, so thought I'd let everyone know.

Regardless of age, there are always discounts at M&S.

Boots do extra Advantage points for over 60s.

But you can't spend them online, only in store.

I bought some thermals from M and S in December -no discount and appalling customer service.
They were in the wrongly labelled packaging twice .
The bottoms were and are warm and the tops are warmer from Primark .
Plus Primark has far better customer service.
They put M and S to shame .

If it looks too good to be true. It is too good to be true.

Very strange, the page says "FR seulement", which makes it sound special to France. Then it says 10% discount for "personnes agées de plus de 60 ans". Then asks for passport or driving licence details. No thanks!

Seems the scam has swum across the Channel too! The page layout is identical to in the above photo, just in a foreign language.

Definitely not on my UK account

MartavTaurus Tue 17-Feb-26 15:43:06

I'm not sure.
It does come up as 10% senior discount on my M & S account in France?

I don't think it's a scam, see photos.
I know people who have received the discount. Sadly I need to wait until my 60th birthday before I'm eligible.

The website in the photo is not the M&S one, is it?

Boots do extra Advantage points for over 60s.

Yes but they do not ask for your passport details, etc to verify your age.

They go by the age you put on your Boots Advantage Card when you applied for it.

Definitely a scam

They are phishing for your details

I read this somewhere recently and queried it with M&S. Their response was that they did not offer a loyalty discount for over 60s

10% discount
Marks & Spencer (M&S) offers a 10% discount for individuals aged 60 and over. To access this discount, you need to verify your age through a process that may involve entering your mobile number. Once verified, you will receive an exclusive discount code to apply at checkout.

The over 60's discount only applies to Spain and maybe Europe. I looked into this a while ago.

If it looks too good to be true…..it usually is.
Most of Marks customers are over 60 aren’t they 😀?

Fallingstar Tue 17-Feb-26 13:44:50

Ah sorry, posted before I saw your post Petra.

Grammaretto Tue 17-Feb-26 13:41:45

I was in Marks this morning and had a long chat with the lady at the till about shoplifting but she didn't mention any discount. She looked over 60 herself.

I order frequently from M&S, just bought some jogging bottoms, and didn’t get 10% off.
Must be for those who have a reward card.

No it’s not. Its a scam

Don’t go near it. It’s a scam.
Do some searching.

Jaxjacky Tue 17-Feb-26 13:25:11

Seems to be through GoCertify which has awful reviews.

Oreo Tue 17-Feb-26 13:19:11

Do you have to have a Sparks card?

JamesandJon33 Tue 17-Feb-26 13:17:08

This hasn’t t come up on anything I have had from M&S, and I do get regular emails
