Good morning, Michael and all GNs, and Happy St David’s Day! It is fixing to be a brightish day in South Yorkshire.

I was disappointed yesterday that it was too wet to get the jobs done that I had planned for the garden, but when it did dry up, I planted up the large stone planter outside my front door with narcissus and polyanthus. Polyanthus are not my favourite but they were DH’s so I plant them for him. I also made a large pan of chilli for the freezer, and a batch of peanut butter cookies.

This afternoon I am taking DD, SiL and GS out to a local pub for Sunday lunch. They take me out quite a lot so this will be my treat.

Melanie, not long after our IKEA opened, DD and I went by tram “just to have a look”! We weren’t going to buy anything but came out so laden down we could hardly get back on the tram! Going to IKEA and buying nothing takes a supreme effort of will😂!

Have the best day you can, folks.

Morning from a dull S Hants, rain imminent, it’s my birthday, last year the weather was glorious, the family were in Dorset for the weekend.
Later the children and grandchildren are here for Indian takeaway dinner, apart from grandson who’s having pizza.
Rummikub is great fun Melanie, I hope you enjoy it.
Happy Birthday MrWS 🎂.

Good Morning from Durham. It’s another dry start, but most days still end up with rain.
Lovely afternoon with DGS2 yesterday, although he was in trouble a couple of times for being cheeky. I’m meeting him and DD2 for a quick coffee this morning and to look at a coat she’s seen in M&S sale. She has a bit of a thing for coats, but can’t decide if she really wants it if not. She’ll bring her laundry, as my new machine is up and running.
Later, I might take my winter curtains down, change the cushion covers etc now that the weather seems to be picking up.

Best wishes to all. X

Good morning Mick and everyone from Carlisle where the sun is threatening to come out. The forecast is poor though.

Yesterday I made an early visit to Sainsbury's to round up some fresh veg and items I can't get elsewhere...and somehow a bottle of good wine found its way into my trolley too!
Home to plant the remainder of my snowdrops in the green into the front lawn. Previous plantings of them and of crocuses are making a lovely display at the moment. I also had to tidy up a raised bed in the back. Some thing/s are excavating in it...I suspect wood mice...on the hunt for bulbs. I'm not sure what they like but it seems it isn't tulips.

Today I plan to visit the big garden centre for some hedging and no doubt a coffee. I may top up my fuel tank in view of current circumstances. Then it's back to read the papers and magazines.
I need to go and hunt in the freezer for dinner...a pheasant breast will be found hopefully. I'll wish you all a good day if possible.

Good morning from a bright Suffolk. I’m hoping this continues as we are off to DS’s in Ipswich for lunch. DGS3 loves cooking, his present favourite is French onion soup so I think that might feature in the meal.

For once I think there are no road closures at the moment on the A12 because of work at Sizewell. Diversions around here usually add many miles to a journey often along country roads as major roads are few and far between.

I’ll read your posts now over my second cup of tea and hope for a good day for all.

Good morning all from Cambridge.
I made it here in time for the birthday party which was amazing. My Dsis is 80 going on 18! They'd hired a large venue with a quiet space for food and chat and a loud room for their 2 in-house bands . Their DD sang with her band and DGD sings with hers! In-between their DS DeeJayed requests and everyone was dancing if they could.
I had and still have a sore throat and didn't feel too well so left early but I could hear the after party still going downstairs at 2am.

Needless to say it was quiet this morning when I made myself a cuppa and dosed myself with paracetamol.
I think I may have tonsillitis so not a nice birthday gift.

That was quite an adventure Madeleine I'm glad you saw the night sky and hope you can retrieve the missing parts today.

Happy St David's Day to everyone.

Good morning from an overcast Cambridgeshire where the wind will build later making it rather a chilly day. No real plans today just housework and ironing and a steak and ale pie for dinner.

Yesterday I went to a big garden centre on the outskirts of Cambridge with a friend. We had a nice lunch and both happy with various bits and pieces we bought. I potted up my purchase of a beautiful pink camellia which has lots of buds and about to flower putting it in a very sheltered place. Just managed an hour on the garden before the rain and sleet came.

Happy Anniversary to Mr and Mrs Cornergran and best wishes to everyone else celebrating. Take care Madeleine on your planned adventure! FGT 💐 Hoping all is well with Rosesandlilac.

Happy Sunday to all 🌼

Good morning everyone and happy White Rabbits Day from a bright Northampton. A day at home for me with no plans except thinking about what to take on holiday.

Enjoyed a brilliant rugby match yesterday; with my team 12 points behind with 10 minutes to go they scored twice and won by 2 points! The noise was incredible! 💛💚

Wishing all a pleasant Sunday.

Morning and while rabbits 🐇 from West Oxfordshire.

I am having a lie in. I’m still not the full sixpence and probably overdid it yesterday. Just the usual stuff - ironing, laundry, making dinner and making a cake.

So today will be spent reading and cooking a simple dinner of beef stew and apricot clafoutis. If I have any energy we may go to a local farmers market.

Have a good day everyone in these difficult times. My cousin’s daughter and her family live in Dubai and my daughter’s flatmate is on holiday in Qatar.

If this posturing by trump is a diversion from the Epstein files, well…

Thinking of FGT and her family. 🌹

Reading about Wells has reminded me that my grandmother was a maid in service to the Dean of Wells during the 1880s. She often spoke about her time there, especially having to be present for daily household prayers.

Happy anniversary Cornergran and Happy birthday to Jaxjacky, *MrWhieSwan and Bella’s DD

Good morning from a bright northwest coast after a night of vivid dreams. Just another quiet day yesterday, making cards from my paintings and reading. Same today.

Flying DD was due to fly to Dubai today, but…She’s disappointed as she will probably be on standby when she won’t know what’s going to happen. I have an embargo on the news for myself, too depressing/worrying.

White rabbits and birthday greetings to jaxjacky Mr.WS and happy anniversary to the cornergrans🌺
