Good morning from s somerset, dull today

What a lovely day it was yesterday, I did my first cycle ride this season, only to the allotment but enough to test my legs and puffing power. I ate some of my chard leaves and ordered a collection of waterlily dahlias for one of my allotment beds. Cut flowers are as uplifting as home grown veg

The stove needed to go on later in the day and it stayed low all night. I need to keep the house fabric warm at the moment. I am expecting a quote for a new boiler

My snake plants all had a bit of tlc, I think they will do well now if I only fill the water reservoirs at the bottom of their pots but I will have to be alert, any wrinkling leaves will quickly need watering top down. I use a substrate called pon, not soil. They are very special as they give out oxygen during the night, I have 4 pots of them in my bedroom. I took a bent leaf off one, called metallica and sliced 5 portions to propagate in water, that will take about 18 months. I also took several cuttings from christmas cactus, drying out at the moment and they will also be propagated in water. They will be gifting plants. I grew all my snake plants from bundled plants from pots, they were bundled in with hardly any roots, seems to be normal process, anyway they are now thriving

I need to give my car a run today so Wells it is, I need a few things from waitrose anyway

Good morning from Malta where we have another sunny day forecast with a high of 20°C.

I had a lovely day just pottering about yesterday. I opened the patio doors at the front and back so had a nice through draught to freshen the air indoors.

I didn’t do much in the backyard as it is a bigger job than I thought and I will need to borrow a pressure washer.

Today is DD2’s birthday (42) and another one spent apart. She has lived over half her life in the US but is the best of the bunch for keeping in touch with regular FaceTime calls and messages.

DD3 and the boys are coming over this morning and then my brother in law in Edinburgh is calling me at noon. Bless him, he always arranges it in advance to see when would be convenient. I’m hoping he might suggest I visit as I had such a lovely time with the family last year!

Wishing you all a peaceful Sunday and a happy St David’s Day. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 ☀️

Good morning from Lancashire. grandMattie, I also knitted a jumper from the neck down. It wasn't fair isle but it has a patterned yoke. I also have a pattern for a jumper knitted side to side.

Good morning from Bristol. We had a gorgeous afternoon, lovely sunshine ☀️. It was such a change from all that dreariness. It’s going to be grey again today.
I was inexplicably very tired yesterday and had a very short nap after lunch.
I did very little in the afternoon, but did manage to finish the fair isle yoke for a jumper I’m making for myself. Curiously, it is knitted from the neck down, as opposed to bottom up! I’m very pleased with the result. It’s the first time I’ve done fair isle, although I’m an old hand at Aran.
Church this morning, I think there’s a baptism, then an empty afternoon. I’ll probably carry on with my scrap strip quilt.
Have a blessed Sunday everyone, keeping fgt close to my heart.
