that was mean - I believe you didn’t understand and thought I was perhaps criticising your grammar - no, I was suggesting your heading had a double meaning, so

‘Punch’ the monkey
or
Punch, the monkey

but now we know, it is a sweet story, thanks

It’s a nice story and all over SM.
Young animals are sometimes rejected, I think it’s him taking his soft toy everywhere that’s caused the ‘aww’ as it reminds people of a toddler and his teddybear.

Heavens!, like everyone else, I read it the other way round with a "please no!" thought. Then I realised I'd read about sweet little Punch I do hope he is thriving.

My first thought was "poor monkey!"

I had seen the story but didn't realise he was called Punch

I wanted to post something positive today and a story that has captivated millions of people is that of Punch the monkey.

Punch was born in captivity and rejected by his Mother, keepers at his Japanese zoo gave him a stuffed orang utan, Punch takes his stuffed toy everywhere, sleeps with it, hugs and kisses it and even tries to feed it!

The rest of the troop would not accept Punch and bullied him badly, yet he persevered and eventually was accepted and received the love and affection he was craving.

It’s such a heartwarming story and a great lesson in life,

Here’s a link for anyone that hasn’t heard the story.
