All the blackthorn trees around here are in full bloom now, and today, while filling a bird feeder, I saw that the buds on our hawthorn trees are bursting and showing lovely new green.

Spring has sprung 😃
A sunny day too today for a change and all my pots of Spring bulbs up and in flower.

It's lovely here today but we are getting the odd shower. It's lovely to see all the daffs but people are cutting and stealing them from the sides of the roads!

So lovely to see the daffodils and other bulbs coming up. Not so lovely to see the greenfly, although the birds might enjoy them.

Windy and grey here in our bit of Dorset today, beating the poor daffodils around. Nice to see all the green shoots on the shrubs and tulips shooting up.
I did notice the first cherry blossom out a couple days ago and there have been lots of catkins on show this year.
Weeds growing well too!

Our pink cherry tree is blossoming in the front garden and out the back the Japanese quince is covered in bright red flowers.

We planted a tree heather about five years ago and for the first time it is covered in white flowers. An older tree heather that was cut back to the base about seven years ago is now about five feet tall and showing signs of flowering at last.

The daffodils and Christmas roses all now flowering as well.

Daffodils are such cheerful flowers. So nice to see them after what feels like a very long winter.

We have lots of blossom on one of our trees and loads of catkins on another. Daffodils, crocuses, and snowdrops have appeared. Spring is on the way ,today March 1st is the first day of the 3 months of spring

My daughter is making Bake Stones (Welsh cakes) as it’s St David’s Day today . It’s quite dull here and it was raining this morning but hopefully now we are on March it will be consistently warmer.
