Good morning all from the Black country.
Yesterday was lovely and sunny had a tidy in the garden then sat out with a cuppa and my book, the sun on my face and the scent from the grape hyacinths was very uplifting.
Managed to contact our ex neighbour who moved to Dubai 3wks ago they are ok but very worried.
Mick sorry to hear you had a fall do take it easy.
FGT lovely to hear from you lovely to that Yorkshire lass is with you.
Have a good day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find a little bit of ☀️.
It’s lovely to see you fgt. xx
Thank for letting me know about Roses Ash.
Another lovely sunny morning in Suffolk made brighter by hearing from you FGT. Hope your DD’s company has lightened your load a little.
Like others, I was pleased that yesterday’s washing dried outside, the first time Ithink this year that it hasn’t needed finishing off indoors.
I’m off to visit an old friend in Woodbridge for lunch. It is midway between us. I now get the train because of the dire driving conditions on the A12 and she meets my train. Although there is no huge station clock,it always makes us remember the film ‘ Brief Encounters’.
Hope there is some sun in everyone’s day.
How lovely to see your post this morning GriedGreenTomatoes2 😘
Good morning all and it’s bright but chilly here in Essex.
Yesterday was warm and nice for a walk in the sunshine. So I stepped it out uphill to town to meet my friend for lunch. A good few hours of chat and a look at the local coach company’s day trips. We’ve decided on a summer one and an autumn one, so they will be good to look forward to.
We’re still awaiting DH’s URGENT appointment at the dermatology clinic. I’ll phone again today. They did say they’re still trawling through the January referrals.🙄. All urgent of course.
I got back to find Dh mowing our tiny lawn. He is very unbalanced and can’t stand or walk for long, but he did it. I was concerned that he did this while I was out. Oh well!!!
I’ll go to Bridge this afternoon.
Dd is doing the school run so fingers crossed she is up to it.
Take it easy today Mick. Rest is required.
Lovely to hear from FGT. Take each day as it comes, 🫶🏻.
Take care all 🌱
Good morning from a fair Wiltshire.
The GCs were pretty good company yesterday after school. We all had pizza. GD3 is getting pretty inpatient with her pesky brother at times. He needs a lot less sleep than she does apparently and goes into her room at 6am and hits her awake to play. I don’t know why their parents don’t hit the roof.
On Friday afternoon we were on the verge of booking a holiday to Cyprus (never been) but it was near dinner time so we decided to leave it until Saturday. Then everything changed overnight in the region. We booked for Crete instead.
Will go out and get some Ericaceous compost to plant a hydrangea which has been in a pot since receiving it as a Christmas present.
I hope MD and her family have better news today. I wouldn’t go out today if you have a dodgy ankle Mick. It’s lovely to hear from you FGT’s.
Have good day everyone. Best wishes to those who are struggling.
Good morning Mick and everyone from Carlisle where we actually have a blue sky!
A day of rest is prescribed Mick while you see how you get on with that leg.
Yesterday it rained all morning so I got on with the housework and laundry. It dried up in the afternoon so I had a pleasant time in the garden planting the remainder of my snowdrops plus more bluebells. I'm trying a different part of the garden for the latter as something seems to like eating them elsewhere and I've not been getting flowers. I also did some rose pruning and weeding. Things are speeding up outside, buds bursting out all over.
Today I must go and collect a prescription as I'm nearly out of the pills then will have a wander through M&S. Once back, more laundry and a bit of bathroom cleaning unless I get called into the garden!
Welcome back FGT, you can do it....
A much brighter morning from the Black Country.
A walk yesterday of 5 miles where it didn't rain, and the sun came out for a short while.
A 7 mile walk this morning along the Staffordshire Railway walk with a group, then tomorrow a short walk with the u3a Amblers walk, then another walk with my Walk and Talk group on Thursday, all comes at once! Two of them are monthly.
Then after the walk today, pop over to Mums to take her food shopping. The to her Doctors so they can copy m POA for Health and Welfare.
Wonderful to see you posting this morning FGT and lovely that your daughter is with you. You have been in all our thoughts the past few weeks. Much love.
Morning from a cloudy S Hants, yesterday’s weather was glorious, washing dried outside. MrJ’s endoscopy showed a hiatus hernia, keep taking the tablets.
Good to see you FGT 👋.
Sorry about your fall Mick take it easy today.
Have a pleasant day all.
🦩🦩
Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a dry bright start to the day
Take care Mick sorry to hear you had a fall yesterday, hope it’s not too painful
We arrived home safely last night after a really lovely weekend with the family and an enjoyable day sightseeing in London yesterday. Today it’s back to the gym for an aerobics class and then coffee afterwards with a pal. Hopefully we’ll be able to get going in the garden here soon too, there’s lots to do
fgt ❤️
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐
It's good to hear from you FGT.
Thanks Redcar, I'll update you tomorrow. 😁
FGT hello again. I used to love your comments as Urms about the trains (to Lime Street was it?) opposite your flat.
Wonderful to see you, fgt. Little steps, you’ll get there! Courage, mon brave… 🫂
Hope your leg improves quickly Mick👍
Good morning from a sunny western seaboard (northwest coast).
I heard an American talking about the eastern seaboard, so thought I would throw that in😁
Lovely day yesterday, as the lunchtime chamber concert was so good. Throw in coffee, cake and good chat, a big turnout and it made my day, followed by taking in an art exhibition and a little trundle round the shops.
The insurance assessor is coming this morning to look at the roof, so will see how that goes…then off to the music club where I am on duty and I have my songs ready.
Welcome back FGT💐 and thoughts to all🌺
Good morning from gloomy Leicestershire.
Sorry to hear about your fall Mick I hope it eases as the day goes on.
We had a lively evening at NWR last night talking about travel. Some of our group are very adventurous.
Today we have a hospital appointment so will need to set off early as it takes an hour to get into the car park.
Lovely to see you FGT you are often in my thoughts.
Wishing everyone the best day possible.
Good morning from a sunny W Kent. Art group at the garden centre this morning and then packing for a short break this afternoon. A bit of a test run to see if we want to book anything else away later in the year.
Sorry to hear you had a fall Mick always a shock to the system
Good to hear from you fgt
Best wishes to all
Good morning , dry and a little bit of sun here in N. Bucks.
Mick I hope your ankle soon recovers.
Today I’m picking up a friend and we are attending WI speakers auditions. Usually interesting. Several shortened talks and then a vote on those we think should go on the speakers list.
Choir this evening
Wishing you all a pleasant day.
Although we miss seeing her on this thread,RosesandLilac regularly contributes to the Wordle thread, Susan56.
Good morning from cool and dry South Lanarkshire.
Sorry to hear about your fall Mick, take it easy today.
So good to see you Fgt.
Yesterday was busier than anticipated as we had an unexpected visit from DH’s siblings. It was nice to see them though as we often struggle to get a date to get together.
I’m in the shop this afternoon as DH insists will manage on his own. He is doing well although still in pain.
Wishing everyone the best day possible.
Morning all from a very sunny but chilly 2 degrees south coast.
So good to see you are back FGT and really wish you all the very best for the future, as you start your new life. Himself will be behind the scenes keeping an eye on you, I feel sure.
Sorry I missed posting yesterday. Had a bad bout of troubled innards and took a while to sort things out.
Today we return to the audiologist to see if she can now do a proper test on DH's ears. He has had two wax extraction appointments at the pharmacy but the last one wasn't totally successful so we'll have to see what she says today.
Nothing much else on the agenda. I am about to nibble a banana and will be on short commons today hoping the innards settle.
May the day bring some peace, contentment and freedom from worries for us all.
Good morning all from Glasgow, where it is 2°C.
Mick, perhaps get the warden to have a look at your ankle, to check it out, or take a walking stick, when you go out
When I got back from church yesterday, DH had put out the washing. Oh the joy of watching the washing drying in the breeze, so much so, that I took off my coat and washed that too. It was almost dry, when I brought the washing in.
In the afternoon, we tidied out the linem cupboard, Even DH struggled to reach the top.
I had a good clear out. How much bedlinen, does a person meed?
I also found::
● 10 new bath towels
● 3 new bath mats
● 2 new mattress toppers
●4 new pillows
● 6 unopened packs of pillowcases
● a pair of Christmas pyjamas meant for DD''s Christmas 2024!
● a jumper for DD's birthday 2024
●a pair of sale boots for DD ( I don't remember buying them.
● a bag of soft toy stuffing. Why??? I don't make toys.
Afterwards, I was feeling lightheaded, but also lighthearted. There was something cathartic about the whole process.
This morning, I have to pick up Dollie and take her to school and brave the craziness at the school gates.. I then need to find DH, somewhere in Asda, after dropping off his car for a service. It's a half hour drive to Asda.
I could see it far enough! I don't feel too good.
The only positive, is I will see my wee Dollie, who is struggling with recent events.
I wish you all the best of days. I do not have time to read your posts, I will do so later.
I hope Roses is alright.
