Nose bleeds can the weather trigger them?

My daughter had one horrendous nose bleed when we stepped out of our airconditioned car in Yuma, felt like stepping into an over it was sooooo hot. Never had one before or since.

In the past, I have been hospitalised twice with chronic nose bleeds.

It was eventually decided by doctor that it was caused by raised blood pressure.

Have been on medication since then and never had another bleed.

My husband had constant nosebleeds when he first went on his blood thinners, they adjusted the dosage but he still gets the odd one if he blows his nose hard in the morning.

Only ever had nose bleed once in my life. It was when I was seriously anaemic with my iron level half what it should have been.

Yes, I would think it was blood thinners. I'm on them, and dhaven't had a nose bleed, but every few days my nose will become very runny, just for a minute or two

A few years ago I went through a period where I had repeated nosebleeds, some really heavy. I am absolutely convinced they were caused by stress, as I was going through an extremely stressful time of my life, and when the cause of the stress went away the nosebleeds stopped.

Same . My son’s hayfever caused it. He had it cauterised but it didn’t help much . He is 49 now. I wonder if he still gets it …..must remember to ask him

Hay fever can cause them

It happened to me with blood thinner, the hospital changed my prescription, nothing to do with the weather.

No idea about medication, but here in Devon atmospheric pressure certainly rose at the end of the month. We are having a run of calm, but cold days. I think it this can correlate with raised blood pressure, but I'm no medic.

I think it was more likely that the blood thinners were the culprit and not the weather.

due to atmospheric conditions.
Friend living in the South West region of U.K. had a nose bleed on Friday night 27 February which resulted in a two night stay in hospital as the nose bleed would not stop. The fella takes three "heart" tablets due a recent heart attack. Was any one aware if any of their friends or relations had a nose bleed about the same time.Thank you for your input.
