I’m being bombarded on Facebook by M&S ads for ā€˜cotton rich straight leg joggers’, so being in need of trousers, I thought I’d order.

Surprise, surprise, most of the most popular sizes are sold out. And I’ve checked twice now.
Yes, you can ask to be informed when they’re back in stock - and I have - but…..🤬

They sound useful.

If there are any for sale!!

Allira Fri 06-Mar-26 10:41:57

Ps what's the betting I'll get an ad on Facebook now?

I bought some joggers in navy a few weeks back and thankfully were in my size, should have bought two pairs because I went back to order another pair last week and the only colour available in my size was sky blue, I ordered them regardless because I only wear them in the house during the day, but they are a very bright and rather jarring colour that makes me look silly imho, so I will only wear them when my navy pair are in the wash.
They seldom have what I want online in my choice of colour or my size.

I bought some cotton straight leg trousers from Cotton Traders a couple of years ago. The navy have faded and I did buy a pair of light to mid-blue ones but don't wear them outside the house and garden; for some reason I think they look like workwear šŸ™‚

Recently, I was very happy to see M and S, after months of looking, had my favourite trousers in my size (quite a large one) in short length. Great disappointment when they arrived and they were six inches too long. ( I hate shortening trousers as they never look quite right when I do them).

I am short and stout, so trousers are always tricky, but I bought some ankle grazers from M&S and they were the right length as full length trousers on me.

They are my favourite, I wear them all the time. I've just found the same, and am down for down for the re-stock, which doesn't take long on these perennials (I must have been buying them for 10 years)

They are slightly more lightweight and therefore with the heavy advertising I imagine a rush over the last few days. they are available in a local shop but too far away for me easily, so I'll wait a bit.

Why "shame on you"? They are a super product at £16 and will be back in quickly?

Sainsbury's Tu has very similar trousers, described as ponte. They are a bit cheaper, slightly more generous sizing in the waist but shorter.

They’re my ā€˜go to’ wear for tennis. They do have them quite often so I’m sure they’ll be back in stock soon.

I live in these straight leg joggers.
Meanwhile, shopping in M&S food hall today I was presented with a free bunch of daffodils. Most odd. They must have over ordered them

Aveline - maybe a gesture for Mothering Sunday?

I had the add for the cotton rich straight leg joggers.
My local Marks and Spencer had the full range of trousers in stock. I am pleased with the pair I bought. Perfect for relaxing round the house a quick pop to the shops or for certain sports or exercise classes.
Yesterday I was in Marks and Spencer again and they still have a good range of these joggers.

I waited the whole of last spring and summer for M & S to email when my size/length of their linen straight leg trousers were "back in stock". They've just reintroduced them for this season (Ā£4 dearer, of course) but my size/length are "out of stock".

I don't actually believe they make them in the sizing I want -it's most frustrating though that they make it look like they do!

I was ill in November and unable to leave the house and I ordered the joggers online to fit over a plaster cast.

They were brilliant, soft, comfortable and washed really well.

I wear them now as general housework or pop to the shop trousers.

I can't believe it. Having read how scarce these joggers have become I idly looked for them in our local M&S. I found a pair in the right size so I bought them. I carefully opened the packaging when I got home and tried them on expecting them to be skimpy and too short but, eureka, they were perfect. Beautifully made and the fabric was lovely. Snap them up if you can find them!

But NO POCKETS!

I haven't seen that one. I'm bombarded with ads for adult tricycles, not sure why I've attracted that.
