Good Afternoon Mick and everyone from the sunny East Sussex coast. As usual for me, I hope afternoon is allowed!

Having a lazy day as exercise class (wore myself out) and socialising yesterday. Tomorrow I am going with a friend to a jazz concert with fish and chip supper, on Saturday to a choral concert and Sunday to another friend’s birthday party. So I feel lucky to have these to look forward to.

Hope all have happy coming days. Lovely to hear about others’ lives and how determined we are to try to keep active, socially involved and well. Thinking of those with worries or battles.

Love lesser celandine, blossoming, but prefer winter aconite! Haven’t seen any of the latter since I moved here.

Ziplok Thu 12-Mar-26 11:08:50

A late good morning to you all,
It’s very breezy today, not too cold yet, but forecast to become cooler.
Hope you all have a good day.

Blossoming Thu 12-Mar-26 10:53:23

Good morning everyone from overcast Lancashire. It’s quite windy but no rain yet, the forecast for this afternoon is not good so.

MrB and I had a lovely walk around the Dock. Good to see the celandine is starting to flower. No cowslips yet.

As always, thinking of those with troubles in their lives.

Wishing you a good day whatever you’re doing. 🌹

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. It's still windy after a wild night. I must check for fallen trees.

It is tomorrow I'm going to Millport Marydoll and thankfully someone else is driving. I hope your day goes ok with Babydoll.

Today it's yoga this morning and ceilidh dancing tonight.

My solicitor is discussing with the agent putting in a bid for the house I liked so now a waiting game.

Good luck tonight at the hospital Roses.
I hope your DD is recovering Susan.
All the best to everyone who is unwell or caring for loved ones

Have a good day everyone.

harrigran Thu 12-Mar-26 08:43:10

Good morning from a dry but very windy NE yet again.
Another night with earplugs.
Sister and BIL are visiting this afternoon after they have been to a funeral. The lady was a nurse that I worked with in the hospital and she then became a practice nurse at a health centre where my sister worked.
She was a very caring nurse for dementia patients and then sadly developed it herself.
Have a good day.

Jaxjacky Thu 12-Mar-26 08:19:38

Morning from a dry S Hants, due to be windy with rain later.
A rather lazy day yesterday after a few trots up and down the driveway and exercises in the kitchen we watched sport.
🤞 for your daughter Susan
Your pictures are always so tranquil Blossoming thank you.
Good luck this evening Roses, it seems a long wait for diagnosis and treatment.

Good morning all and we’re all in for a windy day, it seems.,

Yesterday I had a lovely catch-up with my ‘special’ friend.
I hopped in the train £6 return with my senior rail card. It literally takes 10 minutes. No driving, parking and home again in 15 minutes door to door as the train arrived at the station as I did. Perfect.

Today I have to take little pooch to the groomers and then on to bowls , before I pick her up again at midday.,

I hope your Dd is feeling better Susan, such a worry for you. I hate it when I don’t hear back from mine .All sorts go through your mind., 🤯.

Take care all.💨💨💨💨

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Thu 12-Mar-26 08:04:59

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s 9°C with cloudy skies. Alexa tells me it’ll be 14°C later and it’s going to rain.

I’m meeting a friend for brunch in the Loungers Bar underneath me and am really looking forward to a cooked breakfast with no washing up!

This afternoon I’m getting the bus over to see my stepfather. He doesn’t need any shopping so suggested I call in the afternoon so that we can sit and just chat together over a Speyside malt. Sounds a nice way altogether to spend a drizzly Thursday.

Good morning from a rather blowy N. Bucks. Maybe the sun will appear later. Yesterday I sat on a bench our market place and was jointed by a man I know from a choir I used to belong to. We had a good chat.
Today I must leave by 9.15 to drive to art class ( about 6 miles away)to be sure of a parking place. A quick snack in the car and the straight on to sewing club which is about 10 miles in the opposite direction .
DH will be taking his Mum to a garden centre and I expect she will have a few jobs to keep him busy.
Thinking of all who are troubled in any way and wishing everyone a good day.

Gagagran Thu 12-Mar-26 07:56:49

Good Morning all from a cloudy central south coast. Still feeling chilly but the light coming back so quickly now is a bonus.

We had a good rehearsal at choir last night with a full complement of basses, which helps enormously. Also, we seem to be getting to grips with the more difficult pieces in the programme now, which makes it more enjoyable to sing. Our MD was pleased with us.

It's WI today and our AGM. We are supposed to call it Annual Meeting (without the general) but everyone still uses AGM when referring to it. I think there will be some disquiet about the new requirement to confirm gender at birth issue.

DD and her partner are off on their adventure holiday in Ecuador today and I can't help but feel a bit worried about that with all the issues in the world. I look forward to 28 March when they should be back home.

Kind thoughts, as always, to all our strugglers and hopes for a better day with some ease and comfort.

EkwaNimitee Thu 12-Mar-26 07:51:23

Good morning Mick and everyone from grey, windy Carlisle.

Yesterday consisted of a bit of cleaning and a lot of waiting around for phone calls and emails which didn't arrive.
Today may be the same plus I'm awaiting a delivery so I'm going to start with an early walk before it all starts and the weather, probably, worsens.

Sending my best wishes to all the poorlies and their carers, hoping you all see improvements soon.

Liberty Thu 12-Mar-26 07:46:51

Good morning from an unexpectedly sunny Suffolk where high winds are forecast soon. I’ll be off to my stretch class shortly and then meeting a close friend for coffee which will probably morph into lunch.

DH was saying on Tuesday how he hoped that N,our gardener would come soon to cut the grass which needed its first meow of the year. As I drove down the lane I saw him at the bottom of the garden. He always knows intuitively when to come, increasing his visits when necessary. He has been coming for at least 25 years and probably more and his father before him.

We are so lucky to have him as he is reducing the number of customers he retains as he gets nearer to his 60s.

I hope all have a good day.

cornergran Thu 12-Mar-26 07:40:41

Morning Mick, morning All from a chilly, grey corner of Somerset.

A beautifully sunny day yesterday but goodness it was windy.

It was a strange day, a mix of sadness and attempt to celebrate our granddaughters birthday. We had an hour with her in the morning and were very proud of her approach. The family all managed to gather, defeating the distance while give giving me something else to worry about with long distance driving.

Today someone is coming to make a small cosmetic repair to a sofa, our neighbours will call for a coffee and chat and I must try to carry on with my office space organising while the washing machine does its stuff. We’re both pretty weary though.

Best wishes to all. Have the best day you can everyone.

Grandmabatty Thu 12-Mar-26 07:39:12

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 9°, windy and looks like rain is imminent. Marydoll, it's very difficult to do childcare when you feel poorly. Sympathy. Roses, best of luck with the scan. Ashcombe I remember Jake Thackery too. Did he sing with The Baron Knights? Such an unusual voice. GrandMattie I've read all the books by C.S. Sansom. It's such a shame he died fairly young.
Yesterday I went to the garage to look for a new car and was comprehensively ignored by everyone there. There was only one other customer being attended to and lots of young men on computers or phones who looked away. No receptionist either. Even when I went outside to look at the cars there, I was ignored by the 2 men there! I left in high dudgeon. The rest of the day I pottered about.
Today I'm not in the mood to be ignored again after a rotten night, so I will go back to the garage and try again. If I'm ignored again, there will be a stiff email to the general manager. That's the plan at the moment. I might change my mind because my feet are being very painful just now. Dinner will be chicken pie. Have a good day all.

WhiteSwan63 Thu 12-Mar-26 07:34:09

Good morning from the east coast and it’s a windy one.
Hoping everyone travelling today has a safe journey.

Yesterday my DGS had a super day at school and was the same here. I was furious when he got his games tablet out of his bag in the car on the way home and he just quietly sat with it on his knee and when I got home I saw it had no charge in it. Of course he was with his mother the night before. I was so tempted to message her in my furious mood but didn’t. That boy asks for very little and a charged tablet isn’t much to expect. I have him again tonight but he was with DS last night so all should be well.

I am taking mum and little dog to the vets again for another dressing change on her paw. Really hope I get home in good time to put the banana cake in the oven for GS I’ll weigh and get everything ready in advance before I go so I can just mix it up when I get back. Again it’s the only thing he asks for before he goes on a Wednesday. Just to hear him speak is enough. ❤️

Wishing a good day for all with a moment or two of joy🌼
Virtual hugs for sad or poorly friends💐

Susan56 Thu 12-Mar-26 07:30:05

Good morning from Shropshire.Dry and breezy at the moment.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers for my daughter.Really appreciated.Poor girl was so unwell yesterday it was 3pm before she had the energy to let me know how she was.As you can imagine I was very anxious.I think she must be improving as she has already messaged today🙏🏻Still waiting for the swab and blood test results.

Today we have to drive over to DD1’s to get her to sign a form as my deputy POA for mum then straight to the solicitors.I then have a hair appointment, not the best day for it🌬️

Marydoll I’m sorry you feel so exhausted and hope that Babydoll behaves for you🤞🏻

I’m so glad you have dates for your tests Roses and Hope diagnosis and treatment options soon follow🙏🏻

Take care in this windy weather everyone and wishing everyone the best day possible🦩🌻

Sar53 Thu 12-Mar-26 07:28:06

Good morning from the Essex coast. The sun is shining at the moment but I don't think it will last.
Food shopping this morning and then DH has his pre op this afternoon ready for his corneal transplant at the beginning of April.
Enjoy your day everyone x

NannyJan53 Thu 12-Mar-26 07:24:49

Good morning from a dull and grey Black Country, after a glorious sunny day yesterday!

Walked into town in the morning for a few bits and bobs. After lunch decided to take my car to the hand car wash round the corner virtually. At least now all the Sahara Sand has gone and the green bits smile. £6 but I always give a tenner, as that seem so little for the job they do.

In the afternoon, I got my cleaning head on and cleaned down all the sills on windows, front door and garage.

MrJ has another appointment at the Hospital to change the dressing on his head.

Today I am on the bus to meet DS in his lunch break. I suspect he has a card for Mothers Day (as I won't be seeing him at the weekend as invited with DD & Mum to Brothers and SIL's). Probably a present too, although I always tell both children I don't expect one.

Hoping your DD is much improved Susan

Wishing you all the best day possible. With special thoughts to all with struggles and/or health worries.

FGT always in my thoughts flowers

Greyduster Thu 12-Mar-26 07:22:15

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a very breezy South Yorkshire. We have a yellow warning for wind so I am in two minds whether a trot round the woods with the walking group is a good idea today. I have a couple of hours to make up my mind but I have to say I’m not keen.

We were few at writers group yesterday but still had a productive session. The company is always good. I came home to a phone call from my energy company saying they need to update my meters next month. It doesn’t seem so long since they did it before and though they say it won’t have any effect on my tarrif there is a part of me that doesn’t trust anything they say! It seems I don’t have a choice in the matter.

Ash I love Jake Thackeray - have a couple of his CDs somewhere. ‘Lah-di-Dah’ is a particular favourite.

Have the best day you can, folks.

baubles Thu 12-Mar-26 07:20:48

Good morning from blustery South Lanarkshire.

Yesterday was a mix of dog walking, tidying and crocheting, all of which was accompanied by my audio book which I’m enjoying very much.

DH’s staples will be removed today, his entire leg is quite swollen and he’s having difficulty sleeping, poor soul. He’s being stoical but I know he’s in pain. It will be worth it in the end.

Hope everyone has as good a day as possible.

kittylester Thu 12-Mar-26 07:19:54

Good morning all from a very windy North Leicestershire.

A friend is calling in for a catch up and a cuppa this morning and I am off out for tea and cake this afternoon. Someone had better widen the doors.

Have the best day possible everyone.

brook2704 Thu 12-Mar-26 07:18:15

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s grey, raining and windy
Hope the scan goes ok this evening Roses
I’m looking forward to a quieter day today, a volunteering session this morning and then home. I don’t think I’ll be gardening later as the weather isn’t good so I’m determined to get going on all the inside jobs I’ve been putting off for ages. That’s the plan anyhow!
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Redcar Thu 12-Mar-26 07:16:11

Good morning everyone from mid Essex. Blue skies and sunshine at the moment but rain and gales are forecast for later.
Chair yoga was good yesterday, certainly lots of stretching but I have to be careful with the twisting poses.
Later I dug out some large and very invasive plants from my front garden, I have to be careful, but the ground is soft at the moment so it was quite easy.
My car passed its MOT yesterday, so lives to fight another year! I’m meeting a friend for coffee this morning so it will get a little outing.

marydoll I hope babydoll isn’t too challenging today, and hope that you feel better soon.

I hope that al who have health problems find some improvement today.

Have the best day possible everyone.

hollysteers Thu 12-Mar-26 07:15:00

Good morning from a windy northwest coast. Rather chaotic rehearsal in the city last night. Missing members and the concerts will be under rehearsed. Too much talking during the session too. I didn’t go for the usual get together after the rehearsal as I’m off soon on a coach day trip to the Trafford Centre and wanted an early night. Unfortunately I feel I have a cold brewing and am tempted to cancel, but the last trip to the centre was cancelled through poor turnout, so will get on with it.
Thoughts to all🌺
