Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire.

No walk this morning as we went to the pharmacy to collect my prescription and then had a wander around the store.

As always, thinking of those with troubles in their lives.

Wishing you a good day whatever you’re doing.

Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
Family have left now so it seems rather quiet. Just me, the cat and lots of cups…left to myself, I use one cup for myself, but now I’m surrounded by used cups😁

I didn’t make it to the opera co. rehearsal as the combination of family here plus coughing after my cold put me off.

Sheets to hang out now, peace and quiet and will take in some sunshine.
Hope you feel more cheerful Bellasnana, thoughts of the unknown future can make me glum, it’s not pleasant.
Thoughts to all poorlies too🌺

GrannySomerset Thu 19-Mar-26 09:23:59

I was thinking of Marydoll too and hoping for some better news.

Meanwhile we have a beautiful spring day which is demonstrating that the inside of the windows needs cleaning. Am sure I can find something better to do.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 19-Mar-26 09:12:01

Sending (((hugs))) to Marydoll who’s hills seem to be getting higher 🙋‍♀️

Redcar Thu 19-Mar-26 09:08:19

luluaugust, your DGD must be very worried and frightened at the moment. I hope that her friend will make a full recovery and that your DGD doesn’t develop meningitis.

grammaretto, a relief that your DGD is recovering from her operation. I hope she’ll be home soon.

Have the best day you can everyone.

Meant to add ….

Good morning from Durham, such a change from the sunshine yesterday - it’s very overcast isn’t it Liberty but the Northumberland coast in any weather is always beautiful. I hope you enjoy it.
I went into Durham yesterday - first time since November. It was very busy with crowds of students just killing time, so I made my way up to the Cathedral where one of the college orchestras was rehearsing. It was magical and I felt quite emotional - Tchaikovsky!

Nothing much on today. I think the gardeners might make a start, but it could be tomorrow. The cost has gone up, but there are 3 of them, but still pricey.

Best wishes to all. X

Good morning all from the Black country where it is another sunny day.
Toddlers was busy again with yet again more new attendees, next week we are treating them to local soft play as its last week before Easter, they will pay the usual £1.50 per family the funds will cover the rest.
Today while the weather is good DH and myself will take a trip out somewhere, will see what train is due once we arrive at the station.
Have a good day everyone whatever your plans ☀️.

Jaxjacky Thu 19-Mar-26 08:21:09

Morning from a sunny S Hants, yesterday was glorious and we went out for a coffee, sat in a garden with the sun beaming down made me happy.
Today we’ll venture somewhere else, maybe for a river walk, coffee on the way back.
Safe journey BlueSapphire I’ve enjoyed your Spanish reports thank you.
Roses I’m sorry your husband isn’t forthcoming, enjoy your embroidery today.
Have your best day if you can and stay safe all.

Another sunny day in N. Bucks.😄
Off to Art class in a while and then on to Sewing Club. I will be inside most of the day but I’ll try to sit outside with my lunch.
Wishing you all a good 😊 day with a smile along the way.

Good morning from a cloudy Durham, the trip today being a day in Newcastle where I spent 4 years as a student from 1965-69…..exciting times then to be a student and then I went off to India for a year with VSO …not on the hippy trail.

We are getting a train to Almouth to meet a dear friend who lives in Seahouses sadly widowed during COVID. They moved from Suffolk to Northumberland about 20 years ago and we used to meet up every year, usually in Yorkshire to spend 3 or 4 days together.

Breakfast calls so I’ll read your posts when we return to the hotel later in the day.

EkwaNimitee Thu 19-Mar-26 08:03:49

Good morning Mick and everybody from sunny Carlisle.

Yesterday I went into town and collected my prescription, still a few pills short! Another trip in in a few days then. The pills under-supplied earlier in the week were due to the surgery halving my request, why I don't know, these are the vital pills I cannot be short of. I'm fed up with constantly ordering, collecting and nagging about pill supply, not long ago I took nothing!
Today I have a Tesco delivery mid-morning and a guy coming at some unspecified time to fit dash cams in my car. Meanwhile, the ironing beckons and I'd like to get out for a walk or some gardening if I'm not having to wait in for dash cam guy.
Lots of bloom in the garden now, the cherry blossom is out and the amelanchier and the camellia nearly are.

Do have a good day everyone!

brook2704 Thu 19-Mar-26 07:58:09

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s dry but a bit cloudy but gradually warming up
Pleased to hear your DGD is on the mend now Grammaretto and you can all breathe again
A much quieter day today, I’ve just got a volunteering session this afternoon so I’ll hopefully get a bit of gardening done before then.
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning all and another beautiful start . Yesterday was glorious.

Our hospital trip couldn’t have gone better. Dd had organised school drop off with a friend, so she was able to come along just as another pair of hands. Taxi driver wonderful, as usual and as we entered the hospital with dh pushing his rollator (which he hates and cannot control), a lovely porter materialised with a wheelchair and took us to our designated department. Dd knew him from one of her visits and they had a jolly chat. A lovely Jamaican man, polite, respectful and full of fun.

Waited a few minutes before we were called in and the consultant has referred Dh for a removal of his basal cell carcinoma and a biopsy.. Taxi outside the main entrance and we were home by 10.30. When the NHS works, it works.,🌟.

Back home for a coffee and hot cross bun and then Dd and I took little pooch over the fields and into the woods for a beautiful walk. Blossom everywhere and the sun warm on our faces. A good day.

Today I have bowls. No 2 son bought me a trolley for Mother’s Day, so I won’t have to carry the increasingly heavy woods from my car .

Bellasnanna I get that feeling of ‘doom’ from time to time. It’s horrible ! I try to keep busy and it does pass. Meet friends or find a hobby to keep your mind occupied. Of course you have your little lads too. 🌺.

Gagagran isn’t it wonderful when they hear again! 👂👂.

Marzipan I need a new phone but can’t be doing with all the things it entails. I’ll get a passing GC to give me a hand. Good luck with yours.,

Have a lovely day Ash and olddudders.

I’m sure you’ll find a way to have Sunday lunch with your step dad FGT . 🙏.

Take care all 🌱

WhiteSwan63 Thu 19-Mar-26 07:50:10

Good morning from the east coast and another lovely day is forecast.
Yesterday I sat out a couple of times with a coffee and it’s delightful. GS loved eating his snack outside after school. I tidied up the garden from the wind last week. I had a walk and fed the ducks with our new seed. They especially loved the dried mealworms. A peacock butterfly sat on the back of my chair in the garden it was a beautiful sight.

Today I’ll pick up DGS. My DH has to take GD1 for her Jujitsu grading after school so hopefully she’ll come out with her blue and white stripy belt. She’s worked very hard. At seven she’s very proud as she’s on a higher belt than her daddy. I’ll put a chicken casserole in the slow cooker this morning for them when they get home.

Wishing a lovely day with moments of joy🌼
Thoughts to those with worries, illness and sadness🌹💐

luluaugust Thu 19-Mar-26 07:49:45

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. Off to art again this morning, the gardener is here later
DGD2 has to return to Canterbury today for her meningitis jab, she now knows one of the girls who has been admitted to hospital and is very distressed.
Best wishes

A quick morning all from a sunny yet frosty West Oxfordshire.

I am off to London shortly for a study day at the V&A. I will meet younger son for an early dinner afterwards.

The WI AGM went ok last night. It seems that most people hadn’t turned the page GM! The Secretary is popping round tomorrow and we will update our section of the National database.

Have a good day.

HelterSkelter1 Thu 19-Mar-26 07:35:00

Good morning from a very sunny N Surrey. Still feels chilly of course. Roll on shorts weather.
I have a mashed banana every day on wholemeal toast spread with peanut butter and a touch of hiney. But I cannot eat a banana whole or even sliced.
Yesterday I spent a while in the garden digging up a very invasive plant and after letting the grass dry out a day or two more will do a first mow. It is so tussocky and damp it will be a bumpy job. I will rake up the bits of twig brought down by the winds and rain and the remaining conkers and leaves first.

This year I must sort out some help in the garden.

Enjoy the sunshine everyone

Grammaretto Thu 19-Mar-26 07:30:08

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.
It looks bright out.

I had a very worrying day yesterday as my wee DGD had been in hospital since Tuesday with acute appendicitis. She's had the operation now and is recovering in hospital so we can all breathe again.

Meanwhile I was showing an estate agent and a solicitor round my house and now have a lot to do before it goes on the open market.

Yoga this morning.

Bellasnanna sorry about your feelings of doom . Stop listening to the news? 😕

Enjoy your new wheels Grandmabatty 🚗

Hope everyone has some joy today.

Redcar Thu 19-Mar-26 07:26:03

Good morning everyone from a chilly but sunny mid Essex. Yesterday was a beautiful fairly warm day and I managed to spend some time in the garden, pulling out ‘sticky Willy’ - or cleavers! A combination of local cats and DD1’s dog have spread it everywhere but it was fairly easy to rake up without too much bending. I had intended to sit out for a little while, but there were quite a lot of huge bumble bees practising their flying skills, so I didn’t bother!

bellasnana sorry that you are feeling gloomy, I hope you feel more positive soon.

roses good cleaners are hard to find here too, and quite expensive to employ on a regular basis. Disappointing that your DH is not helpful. I hope you get the results of your various medical tests soon and that there is some treatment to help you.

I like bananas, and have one most days, but loathe them when they’re overripe and squashy.

Enjoy Don Quixote ash, at least there are no problems parking on the train!

I hope marydoll is able to post again soon. Thinking of all those with worries of any kind.

Have as good a day as is possible everyone.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 19-Mar-26 07:23:31

Good morning from S E Essex, the sky is blue, the sun is shining, please let this be an end to the very long wet, winter 🤞🏻

Today I have decided to attack my least favourite household chore, hand washing. Both DH and I have got cashmere sweaters that are hand wash only, they have accumulated in the bottom of the laundry basket over the winter months…

The 11 yr old will be here after football for his weekly sleepover, (I love that boy so much)

FGT2 baby steps x

Morning Mick, morning All. Another sunny day forecast for our corner of Somerset. Yesterday was wonderful, sunny and warm enough not to wear a coat.

We spent a long while siting on a pier just watching the waves before wandering to a shopping mall for lunch. I had a short list of ‘things I would like’, found not a one or indeed anything else. The grass was cut while we were out, what a difference to the look of the garden.

Mr C has new glasses to collect, while out we’ll get a few groceries and come back to do some garden bits. Nothing strenuous, I’ll behead some spent bulbs and remove a weed or two. A phone call or two later and the day will be gone.

Best wishes to all, have the best day you can everyone.
