Thank you mt62 I have heard of that too but I will be wearing a dress

I love them, & have a few pairs of low heels.
I saw a hack on YouTube. If you put a soft hair band around your ankle & thread the strap through, it’s stops the strap from slipping down. I suppose it’s a good hack if you can hide it by wearing trousers. I have a lovely pair but they drive me mad with this problem as I can’t tighten up the strap as there is no buckle.

Thank you I'll try both of those

Someone once told me to rub a plain old fashioned candle on the inside of the strap, stops them slipping and rubbing apparently, but only with a white candle, you don't want coloured wax coming off on the shoes.

Friend of mine had the exact same issue and used nail glue to stick them in place - said it worked a treat!

Thank you for all your advice. Maybe I try and sit down all day

I’ve never been comfortable in them ( just one ankle ) since I suffered a broken ankle. Probably because it has pins and plates but I’ve not worn them since.

I think that to look "elegant" the angle of the heel strap is often wrong.
Maybe we aren't actually meant to walk in them!

Good luck.

Maybe heel grips would work, you can get leather or gel ones. Stick onto the inside of the strap, you would probably need to trim them.
I would have a test walk about in case they don't stay in place and need stronger adhesive.

Thank you labradora. I don't like them and don't normally wear them but they were the only colour I could get for a wedding

I have never understood why anyone would want to wear these things precisely because of the "slippage" problem that you mention.
Good luck though I hope that one of the many practical posters here can suggest something to help you.

Hi everyone, not much of a problem I know with everything else going on, but I have a problem with slingback shoes and the strap slipping. I have bought the right size but they sometimes slip as zI walk. I've see amazon have sticky tape and wondered if anyone has tried it. Any help appreciated.
