Has it changed anything?

A good friend went with her daughter and I am ashamed that I knew nothing about it. My mum marched against the Iraq war when over a million marched. She also marched against Moseley and the black shirts as did my grandad. It looked a joyful, peaceful gathering and numbers don’t matter do they? It is raising awareness that counts.

A video has been uploaded showing the March against the ‘Far Right’ ‘ to show unity and citing the Far Right’s policy of hatred and division . It unfortunately shows a particularly virulent argument between a Muslim lady and a LGBT man which resorts in to physical jostling as she says that he is not wanted here!

I quite agree, the BBC gave us a report on tiger woods driving and missed the march!!! thats why they are getting a hard time for not representing the people

Nonsense. Independent estimate no more than 50k. The “far right” as you call them are the majority of decent people in the country who want to see the back of this two tier govt.

'Traditionally' Brits were secure enough in their identity and history as a mongrel nation to mock the insecure Americans for their flag veneration. We were actually taught this at school - the explanation given was that the USA was a very young nation (obviously no one counted the thousands of years of indigenous occupation!) and that they would get less sensitive about bits of cloth when they had more history.

MSM managed to ignore both the anti far right march in London and the many No Kings marches in the US, where numbers totalled about 8 million.

Traditionally, when we were at school, the flag was seen as a symbol of national pride. We all flew flags for the Coronation.
They had wooden poles and were made of cotton.

I do not ever remember mocking the Americans for flying their flag, although perhaps some did.

Was it the brutal Iranian flag or just ‘the national Iranian flag’ being flown by Iranians over here showing solidarity with Iranians presently being bombed.

I'm always puzzled by what this 'Far Right' is, that all these high-minded virtue-signallers are marching against, and I'm thinking that if I'd actually suffered under a real far right government, such as Nazi Germany, I might feel that what I went through was not appreciated. And before anyone says that today's 'right' is the thin end of the wedge, what happened to personal choice and a variety of viewpoints?

So very grateful to all those who were on this demo in London. Gave me back some hope for the future. Would have loved to have been able to be with them - I did my share back when I was younger!!!!
Yes ,it was all peaceful and have heard personally from several of those who were on it, what a great united feeling it gave them all.
The flags are totally unimportant, it is the people who matter!!!!
