Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire. It’s a beautiful day here.

MrB and I have enjoyed a walk down to the river. Always a challenge for the triwalker as it involves steps and a steep hill, but the view is worth it.

As always, thinking of those with troubles in their lives.

Wishing you a good day whatever you’re doing.

Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
Yesterday was spent sorting out my wardrobe and filling bags for the charity shop. Also practising new songs.

I decided some exercise was in order so put my usual run of favourite pop songs on and threw myself around the sitting room until enough was enough.
This afternoon to the dreaded dentist to see to my chipped tooth. I hope it’s a straightforward procedure.

I forgot to mention Grandmattie how much I liked your green quilt. A real 1930s’ vibe.
Thoughts to Roses and all🌺

Well done fgt. I saw that but wasn’t sure what to do 😀.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

I overslept!

Today I’ll finish off the Simnel cake with quite a lot of marzipan, which I love!

Our daughter gave us a voucher for Christmas for a rather nice restaurant just outside Oxford, so that’s where we are going today for lunch.

Thinking of some of you who are troubled.

Have a good day.

Good morning everyone,

It’s a beautiful day, bright sunny morning here, but very chilly. I suspect it was frosty earlier. Still, this blue sky and sunshine is much more preferable to the sullen grey skies of yesterday.

To all with troubles, I send kind thoughts.

Good morning all from Glasgow, where it is -2°C.

Yesterday was not a great day, I didn't even go to the school pick for Dollie, I felt really out of sorts and knew, I wouldn't be able to manage the hill.

It didn't help, that I received an unsigned, one line email, from the parishioner, on whom I spent hours accommodating on Monday. She told me could no longer read at our Good Friday service.
I was raging at her rudeness, no reason, no apologies for wasting my time, leaving us in the lurch and epecially, harassing me with emails, especially late at night.
Also someone needs to teach her the etiquette of sending an email. Hers are downright rude.

Today, we have Babydoll, We will do our usual visit, to the café, library, pharmacy (where she will charm the assistants) and CAB. We are having a Golf Day out fundraiser, but the sign up sheet has gone AWOL. No-one knows, where it has gone, so we don't know, who has signed up. The organiser is leaving a replacement in the CAB offices for me to pick up.

GM, the vicar should be looking after you and organising transport! Our older parishioners, who are helpers, are rarely left to walk.

Mass tonight, I am sacristan, so it will be a long day.

I wish you all a pleasant day, loves to Roses.

Good morning all and the weather is ok here in Essex.

Yesterday was busy. DDil took me shopping to a newish Sainsbury about 20 minutes away. She prefers in to our local one and it was quite impressive. Spacious, clean , large carpark with petrol station , with hardly anyone there. I’ll go with her again.

We were later picked up by our wonderful friend and taken to the dentist for DH’s first appointment to the day. Last year he had a rather traumatic tooth extraction (only got half out) , came home and had a stroke.
The Dentist yesterday was smiley, friendly and compassionate,
so he’s booked in for another appointment.

Our friend then picked us up and dropped me off at a mutual friend, picked up her husband who has very advanced Parkinsons, and the three men went out for lunch. How he managed the two disabled chaps I don’t know. He’s a marvel! 🌟.

Today I was due to have my ‘second opinion ‘test at a different optician but I’ve had to cancel as DH’s hearing aids need fixing and I must take them into town. My appointment now is next Tuesday. Goodness me, my mind is addled!

Sar I hope your Dh feels better today.
cornergran keep your chin up.💐
Have a lovely weekend with your family Roses.

Take care all 🌺

A late good morning from a brightening S E Essex.

New furniture is arriving between 4.20 and 5.10pm, well we will see…

I need to go food shopping and as it’s just us this Easter I will pop into M & S Food Hall.

Love that coat Melanie

Hope your DH is feeling less discomfort and pain when he wakes Sar53

(((Hugs))) to all 🙋‍♀️

Good morning everyone from Inverness where we’ve light grey cloud but it’s still very cold at just about 1°
Good to hear your goddaughter is ok after her accident cornergran
I’ve a quieter day today, nothing much planned but I’ve lots of jobs to keep me busy. I was hoping to potter in the garden but it still feels too too cold. I think we might go out for a short walk somewhere if it stays dry but will see
Safe travels to everyone out and about today and hoping everyone having a few days away has a lovely time
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning from a brightish Leicestershire.

I didn’t sleep a wink last night family worries and the world situation put paid to any rest.

Today we are having coffee with friends and will sort the world out ( if only we could). We may have to contend with closed car parks and lack of fuel!

This afternoon I will get my hair cut.
May everyone have the best day possible.

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton; will put some washing on later.

Very little in my plans for today; a Sainsbury's delivery late morning, and book a meal at Prezzo for a friend and me; I was.given a voucher at Christmas for a three course meal for two including prosecco. As we both have a birthday the same week this month it will do very nicely!

A pleasant visit to the hairdresser yesterday; it's nice to sit and be pampered for a couple of hours.

Bellasnana when we lived in Cyprus, we.too had a gas heater for the winter months as it could be quite chilly indoors, especially early mornings and the evenings; it was on wheels so could be moved to where we needed it. Some mornings I even used to light the gas oven and leave the door open to warm our huge north facing kitchen!

Wishing all a pleasant Thursday.

Good morning from a brightening Suffolk. I have my stretch class in just over an hour and shall callin at the surgery to collect a prescription. I had forgotten to order my repeat but the ladies in the dispensary are always so helpful when this happens.

For unknown reasons several of the lanes around here are closed and the one to us is open “for access only”. No sign of anyone working yesterday when the signs appeared and no indication as to when they will reopen.

It occurred to me when I woke in the middle of the night that the van delivering our weekly grocery order on Saturday afternoon may well not be able to reach us!

Hope today is a good one for all.

Good Morning from Durham. Not a cloud in the sky, but it’s a very cold start. It’s 34 years today since my DM died, she was only 68 and I think she, I and the DDs missed out on so much.
Got my car back, but have to pop along and pay for it - less than £300, so I’m quite relieved.
I’ve an empty - having been so careful not driving far, I feel as if I should get out somewhere, especially as the schools break-up today.

Best wishes to all. X

Sar53 Thu 02-Apr-26 07:52:49

Good morning from another grey day on the Essex coast.
Yesterday I left DH at the hospital at 12 and picked him up at 19.00.
He came home, had a cup of tea and went to bed. He was in a lot of pain.
He's still in bed/asleep now.
I'll see how he is when he finally wakes up.
I have no plans to do anything today.
Take care everyone, best wishes to all xx

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Thu 02-Apr-26 07:50:01

* a third of a bottle
Duh.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Thu 02-Apr-26 07:49:23

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s dry and sunny. No rain is forecast so I think I’ll put the bedding in to wash. I feel a bit fragile this morning. Payback for one glass of wine too many last night - a large wine is actually a third of a glass so no wonder.

Fortunately there are no calls on my time so I can gather myself as the day progresses. Lesson learnt.

The hospital where I used to work apparently holds an NHS Fellowship drop in the first Thursday afternoon of each month. I might walk over (30 minutes - do me good physically) and see ex colleagues (hopefully ditto, emotionally). Those who know me will ask after Himself. I’ll decide later.

Jaxjacky Thu 02-Apr-26 07:44:33

Morning from a grey S Hants, we’re due sunny intervals apparently.
You can rest easy now Bellas.
I hope you get your sunshine corner and enjoy your day out.
Enjoy your family visiting Roses I do hope you can share your health update and gain some support.
We went out for coffee yesterday to meet a friend, then on to the butcher where we spent vouchers MrJ won in the pub meat draw. Some lovely steak as a treat along with other items,
No real plans today.
Safe journey to those travelling.

Good morning all from a dull Black country.
Yesterday spent time in the garden lawn mowed and after reading Madeleine dead heads the daffodils proceeded to do that, it is something never done before so hoping for a good show next year.
Quick trip to Aldi then back to sort the garage out it's a double garage car on one side junk on the other😀.
Have the best day you can everyone whatever your plans and may you all find a little bit of ☀️.

Gagagran Thu 02-Apr-26 07:39:19

Good Morning all from the central south coast where there are lots of puddles so it must have rained in the night. It's dry and bright now though but still only 5 degrees so I hope it warms up. I don't function well when I'm cold.

As I expected, choir attendance last night was low again. I know it's the Easter break but it is disheartening with so many seemingly lacking commitment. It's especially concerning with such a difficult programme planned for the June concert. I suspect some items will not make the final cut.

Relieved to see that the astronauts are safely launched and now are to spend 10 days circling the moon. Their families will be on tenterhooks until they are back safely with, of course, no guarantee of that. Nerve wracking for all concerned.

It's Maundy Thursday today and the King will be out doing his traditional duty in St Asaph's cathedral in Wales. I hope the sun shines for all involved.

Kind thoughts to all our Grans with worries, sadness or struggles of any kind. May the day bring some relief and comfort for us all.

EkwaNimitee Thu 02-Apr-26 07:38:56

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle where we have had a light frost. Much preferable to what we're promised at the weekend...gales. I'm worrying already.
I went to bed a little earlier last night and set my alarm to wake me in time to go down and watch the Artemis launch, heart in mouth, but fortunately all went very smoothly. I envy the crew but not the take-off bit, I think the gravity experienced would kill me!

Yesterday was a pleasant day of pottering at this and that, including potting up some white agapanthus. I walked round the park after breakfast, it was busy with council workers doing developments including a new skate park, and lopping trees. I've been pleased to see more being planted, quite a few have had to be removed, every gale had seemed to bring something down in recent winters.
Today a Tesco delivery is due midday but first into town to collect a vital prescription, a word with the surgery has produced a rapid response from them and the pharmacy.

The afternoon is free for whatever, maybe pottering in the garden before the weather deteriorates, not much chance of planting then I think.

Do have a good day everyone if possible,

harrigran Thu 02-Apr-26 07:36:13

Good morning from a sunny and dry NE.

Yesterday was a lazy day because I had been awake since 4.30 and kept nodding off on the sofa.
During the afternoon we had a power cut and I had to reset the three ovens and the CCTV. I am not good at synchronising the side by side ovens.

Today will be another quiet day, just light housework and sort the recycling.
Have a good day.

luluaugust Thu 02-Apr-26 07:27:03

Good morning from a grey W Kent.
Wow wonderful coat Melanie I should wear it everywhere.
Difficult morning yesterday as arrived at DFs to find her eldest DD had fallen downstairs and was in hospital with a fractured spine. She had spent hours on a trolley in a corridor with Drs and Consultant visiting her there. We drank our tea and mulled over life.
Today DH and I are off into deepest Kent to pass over some model trains for sale. A little lunch in Tenterden maybe.
Best wishes

Good morning everyone from mid Essex. It’s mild out, mixed cloud and blue sky, not sure what the weather will do today but apparently it will be colder.
DD2 worked here for a while yesterday, it was pleasant to have some company. In the afternoon she took the 8 year old to an art class but carried on working in a coffee shop nearby!
I did a little more gardening after she’d gone, and will try to do more today.
My hairdresser is coming this afternoon, a cut is much needed! Also have a food delivery.

Not good weather for you bellasnana but I hope you manage to persuade the dog to go out for a walk, clearing up 💩 is horrible.
melanie have an enjoyable break in East Yorkshire, the crochet project sounds interesting and I’m sure you’ll wear the cardigan when it’s finished. (Even if your DD wouldn’t!)

cornergran I hope that a day out in sunshine will help you feel better.

Hoping for a better day for all those who are struggling, may we all have a little more 🌞 in our lives.

HelterSkelter1 Thu 02-Apr-26 07:23:37

Good morning from a sunny so far N Surrey and not too cold.

WhiteSwan63 I have ocular migraines which are probably the same as yours. No pain but disturbed vision which lasts for 30 minutes or so. Usually in one eye and the disturbance is a white jagged "lightning" effect which takes over most of the vision and slowly moves across, but the effects can be varied.

If you post in Health you will find it is very common.i havent had one for a few weeks but they can be frequent. The eye hospital is not concerned at all when I mention it at my glaucoma check ups as it is so common.
If you are very worried csa you get an appt at your optician before the 16th.

RosesandLilac Thu 02-Apr-26 07:23:13

Good morning you wonderful GNers, it’s a bright and sunny start here in south Glos.
I have a few chores to get done before DS and family arrives this afternoon, so looking forward to having them.
Yesterday I pootled around, somewhat ineffectively at times but never mind!
I hope you have a lovely day 🌹
