Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow. It is 7°, a huge difference from Malta. We also have rain predicted.
Yesterday started well, we set off for Helensburgh reasonably early, much to DH's surprise.
I had secretly wanted to visit Lomond Shores on the way, but thought that might be pushing things.
Just as we were approaching it, DH asked if I wanted a quick visit.
We laughed as we approached the roundabout, DH asked, Left or right? Left was the outlet, right was one of the many hospitals, I visit.
I had no idea, how to work the newly installed parking ticket machines. There was much hilarity, when a young foreign couple tried to help me.
I couldn't remember DH's reg, but young lady could see it and was dictating it to me.
I said, I was buying nothing, it would only be a quick visit. It was not and DH got lots of tshirts etc.
Also, he bought me a beautiful bag for my birthday next month. ♥️
Helensburgh was very quiet and we had a stroll before eating a delicious tapas lunch.
There was also free entertainment, Six elderly people arrived separately, appearing not to be acquainted,
They caused the staff so much trouble, agonising over their choices of food and drink and kept changing their mind.
After sharing bottles of wine and tapas, they asked the manager to give them all individual bills.
He said it was not possible, due to all the combinations they had and the fact that they had shared items.
That manager deserved a medal for his patience. They then suggested that the manager wrote it down on paper and worked out their separare bills.
The oddest thing was, they didn't seem to actually know each other. However, one woman took charge and continued to give them the benefit of her knowledge of Spanish food. She hadn't a clue!
She then asked for a glass of that red drink, with fruit in it. (sangria). However, she wanted a white sangria. The manager duly obliged through gritted teeth.
Afterwards, we planned to go for a stroll, but we were in a charity shop, when I saw DH hanging on to a bin of cushions. I thought this was strange. Then I realised, he looked as if he was going to faint. I got such a fright, as he is never ill.
No shopping for us, it was straight home.
On arriving home, I took his BP, thinking it would be low. It was sky high and getting higher. 😱 He should have been dead, according to the readings!
The new monitor is coming today.
He says he is fine, but has promised to see the doctor tomorrow, if the new readings are high. I don't think he is fine.
We have Babydoll arriving in a few minutes, so must dash.
Have a pleasant day.
Roses has been constantly on my mind..♥️
