Treats?

I think srarbars have always been srsrbars.
They're gloopy, and crunchy, and nutty, sweet and crunchy, all at once.
I suppose the nearest ghing would be a nutty picnic bar, but starbars are better.
They have a bit more gloop.

A treat for me is DH making me a cup of tea or coffee one handed from his wheelchair, but Oreo you can make the dark chocolate ones yourself, www.flavoursonplate.com/bounty-recipe/

Treats aren't treats though if they're easily accessible. As a child, sweets were unimaginable luxuries and strictly rationed. Things like smoked salmon or prawns were really big deals but can be every things these days. Maybe there are no more real treats for me any more.

I don't think I've eaten a starbar. Did they used to be called something else?
DH will go off shopping in the evening & buy all sorts of treats, it annoys me as I can't treat myself when I shop because our allocation of treats is used up with what he buys. And if we have a thimbleful of milk or a solitary teabag left, he will never check & buy more while he's there - too mundane. He also buys treats for the dog, & gives him far too many, I'm the one who takes him to the vets & cringes when he gets on the scales.

I have Diabetes Type 2 and IBS. Im searching for something that feels like a treat but doesn't upset my body. I buy lots of unusual things on line but after checking the ingredients they are not suitable. My ASon has enjoyed everything I have rejected. Still, the hunt goes on. hugs

A treat, in my book, is something you would like, but can’t have for health or financial reasons.
Foodwise, I think I can manage to treat myself to anything.
BUT , I’ve just come in from pottering around in the garden, and my back is killing me .
My treat would be to have a full-time gardener . Perhaps some wouldn’t call it a treat, More like a luxury😂 - well, there you have it !

DH has just come home with a big chocolate bar with crunchie bits in -just for me. Now, that's a treat.

Oreo. They have discontinued the dark chocolate Bounty bars unfortunately.

Anything with nuts for me.

Both really. I'm still thinking about treats. I'm so looking forward to meeting up with an old friend on Monday. That will be a treat too.
Meanwhile my cupboard is full of the Twiglets, Picnic bars, Florentines, peaches and cherries. Oh and the Fry's Chocolate Creams and the Turkish Delight.
Note to self: do not go to that shop again!!

Depends if you mean treats that we can’t usually afford or treats that healthwise we shouldn’t have?
My go to treat now and then is a Bounty Bar, even better if I can find a dark chocolate one.
