Morning, 4 degrees and sunny in S Hants. I learnt my lessson years ago karmalady with summer bedding out too early.
Yesterday I drove further and got some cash, we at last met up with our friend back from his 6 week Australian trip. They went on the ghan train, he said their cabin was ‘bijou’, but a great experience.
I’m hoping for rain this week amidst the cold.
Voluntary phone today.
Have a pleasant day if you can, 💐 for those having a difficult time.

Good morning. Forecast is cool and some rain for N. Bucks. That will be good for the planting we did yesterday.
DH is off to golf and I have a free day . After a few household jobs I will amuse myself with some art and craft.
Thoughts are with all who are coping with illness or worry. A good day to all with a smile along the way.

Susan I know how you feel flowers

My lovely rhododendron which has burst into flower!

Good morning everyone from a cloudy and dull Northampton, rain forecast this morning.

Yesterday was mostly bright and sunny but with a chill wind. I cut the back grass and then trimmed another long length of the lawn which now looks very neat. One more long length to do, and most of the weeding is done. The cats came out to sit in the sun, but were scared off by a big scruffy looking invader cat, and ran to the back door to go in!

Yoga first thing this morning, home for an early lunch and then to the surgery for my Covid jab. I then need to get a bus to the Royal Mail depot to pick up something with insufficient postage; wondering what it is.

A macaroni cheese thawing in the fridge awaits for my dinner.

Wishing all a pleasant Monday.

Good morning from Shropshire.A mixed forecast again.

I am quite anxious at the moment about various family members.Nothing I can do but I do worry.

Today we are going to see mum.She has been sleeping for most of the last week.Poor thing has had enough💔It won’t be much of a visit but we are happy to sit with her for a couple of hours.

Thinking of all our absent friends and all with worries and wishing everyone the best day possible🌷🦩

Keeping fingers crossed for all GC taking SATs this week, like our 11yr old along with the GCSE cohort.

Our teen is rather stressed 😩

Good morning everyone from cloudy Anglesey.

Yesterday DH went home in order to work. He'll come back at the weekend.
I did laundry and had a quiet day pottering about.
DD phoned in the evening and we had a good catch up on family news.

No real plans for today yet which is partly what having our caravan is all about.

Wishing you all the best day possible. 🌻

Good morning from a sunny but chilly, only 4° S E Essex.

Gym first thing, then a quick dash to
Next, Boots & M & S Food Hall. Pick up The Imp from school, get him sorted then I have a Dexa Scan at 6.45pm at one of our big hospitals.

Hopefully by the time I get home, DH will have got The Imp into bed and asleep 🤞

(((Hugs))) to all in need 🙋‍♀️

Bellasnana Mon 11-May-26 06:39:25

Well, I spoke too soon! Just had a message from DD3 who is unwell so can I pick the boys up from school later. 🤦‍♀️

Ashcombe Mon 11-May-26 06:33:38

Good morning from Torbay where it’s chilly but bright and sunny with a gentle breeze.

Free flowers from Tesco sound like a great idea, grandMattie and good to share with your neighbour.

I expect DGS1 will enjoy having you to share his learning, Grandmabatty.

Safe travels, dragonfly46 and I’m glad you seem better now, Mick.

Thinking of Pantglas and glad to see karmalady.

A good day to you all. 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good morning from s somerset, chilly nights and it will feel like march today

I accidentally noticed that the forecast had changed, a potential for ground frost. I have never worked so fast to get fleecy covers onto small tender plants, ok I was too early planting tomatoes and courgettes and my dahlias were popping up and potatoes sprouting. I kept thinking about the old gentleman from the allotments, last year he told me about all the people who lost plants one may. I should have waited until late may. never again will I put tenders out until the end of the month

I was achy yesterday, my shoulders, so much heavy lifting last week but I have cleared a lot and my sun blocking umbrella is firmly secure even in strong wind.

I have ordered organic wheat grain to mill at home, not thinking about the secure container I would need. I sorted that and made space in my garage. I do feel inspired to get on with making sourdough more often, I revitalised my starter and it is almost climbing out of its pot today. I want to increase the quantity, to preserve it by dehydrating, I never want to risk losing it again

My hair is being cut in 3 hours and then I honestly need to have a rest day, not a sitting day but not a heavy-lifting day either. I`ll probably bounce on my rebounder at some stage. It is only a quarter mile into town, to my hairdressers but I tend to meet so many people, I always leave home earlier than necessary

Both Dds were on podiums yesterday, different events, one in Wales and one in southern England. One trail running and one mountain biking. Ds was living the happy life in Aberdeen, on the outskirts. Their recent move has been a great success

Two teenage dgd are studying hard for exams and dgs was on lifeguard duty this weekend. He still has not decided what direction to take in life but he is only 18 and is having a year out

Roll on steady warm weather with some rain

Melanie61 Mon 11-May-26 06:25:55

Good morning from Sheffield

It raining here, that’s ok though ,the garden needs it
I am off to prayer group and then I am working this afternoon.
Thats about it for today.
Two of our children and families dropped in for a cup of tea yesterday. As one family left the other turned up, literally seconds after!
It was nice to see them , and very grateful they want to come.

Take care everyone flowers

Good morning from Malta where another hazy day is forecast with a high of 27°C.

Thank you for all your well wishes yesterday, The church was packed so they put on the a/c and I felt frozen! A lovely Mother’s Day service though.

My neighbour had also come to Mass with me so I then called us a cab and we went to Mdina for a light lunch.

The ‘Silent City’, as it is known, was anything but! It was heaving with locals and tourists alike, easy to spot the difference by the amount of clothing they were wearing, (or not!). The Maltese hang onto their winter clothes until it gets really hot, but holidaymakers seem to strip off at the merest hint of sunshine! 😂

I was glad to get back to the peace and quiet of my little home. Watched tennis and had a nap, then a lovely FaceTime call from DD2 and DGD in Tennessee. They were off to see The Devil Wears Prada 2.

A busy day ahead for you Grandmabatty. Glad you had a nice visit with your aunt and uncle. I finally did my ironing!🙌🏼

grandMattie another busy day for you. Take care with your trolley, I nearly tripped over mine the other day. I’m not used to it yet!😄

Today I have a blissful ‘empty’ with no pressure to be anywhere or do anything, so I shall take it as it comes, do a few jobs around the house, and watch tennis later. Living it large as usual!😄

Wishing a good day to all.☀️

dragonfly46 Mon 11-May-26 06:01:39

Good morning from a grey Leicestershire, we may get rain later.

Awake early as sleep is elusive.
It was sunny at the fair yesterday but chilly.
Today we are shooting down the motorway to pick up granddoggy.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

grandMattie Mon 11-May-26 05:33:12

Good morning from Bristol. Like Mick, it hazy, cold and dry here.
My word, it was chilly yesterday when I went out, there was a lightish but biting wind again. It’s very wearing.
Tesco had free flowers again when I went for the paper so I got two bunches, one for me and one for my neighbour. She was delighted.
Did nothing much. Started a patchwork hot water bottle cover, and had to keep on unpicking, you would think I’d never made one. I still haven’t finished it 🙄
My neighbour still hasn’t got her car back so I’m off to Tesco on foot again, with my faithful trolley. I’m so glad that it’s downhill on the way back!
I’ve got a meeting of our new replacement WI, the Women’s Association, this evening. The old membership bar about 3 seems very keen for the group to carry on. 🤞
I hope all those with troubles are sorted, the poorly feeling better, and the travellers safe at their destinations.
May you have a quiet, gentle and contented week. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Grandmabatty Mon 11-May-26 05:32:11

Good morning Mick and others, from Polmont where it's currently 4° and dry.
Yesterday I had an unexpected visit from my aunt and uncle. It was nice to see them.
Today is early childcare day. I will be back at the school this afternoon to do a stint in the library then to visit dgs1s classroom for a sharing learning time before I pick up both boys and bring them to my house. This morning, an ironing awaits me. Have a good day all.
